simile and metaphor are direct comparisons. Simile uses 'like' or 'as' to compare.

Thank u so much for your effort! But is not it wrong to use (to) after the verb (help). My teacher told me that this is a grammatical mistak but you keep making it. So I just wanted to know if this is right or wrong. Thanks!

I'd go with what your teacher says, because he/she is the one grading your work. However, spoken rules often have accepted norms that don't always follow the written grammar rules.

Not necessarily wrong, but the second one shows imagery, so they are a little better descriptions.

IN the exam we're asked to write about imagery in a short story can you help us with that. I mean like giving us an example

Take anything you see around you and just be sure to focus on describing the details using imagery. Something as simple as watching a cat run to its food dish, or a child playing in the snow for the first time can be written using imagery, so my advice is to look around yourself for something that is happening and then try to describe what is happening while being conscious of the literary devices you are using.
