Described as “a talent of the next generation”, Natasha is known for pioneering ways to integrate technology with live performance. She is a creative director, idea generator and performer from Geneva, Switzerland, now residing in the US. Natasha's major credits include: The live 3D animated show UP WAKE, multimedia production CLIMAX which boldly opened the G20 Summit in 2012. ZO, a cross disciplinary spectacle incorporating 355 young performers. OMEN which sprints through 5 billion years of history in 20:14 minutes, 2 original shows for DISCOVERY CHANNEL which premiered on Broadway in 2013, and QUARRY a concert stage projection mapping show for the International Ad Agency CIRCUS. She is the published author of 2 books: “The Lost Architect” and “Colours" (available on Amazon), and the creator-producer of 10 commercial & non-commercial short films.
As a performer, Tsakos performed in front of 90 million spectators with Cirque du Soleil at the Super Bowl Opening Ceremony 2007, at the Coachellla Festival, and has entertained celebrities such as Pharrell Williams, Swedish House Mafia, The Miami Heat amongst others.
She is an active speaker and has presented at the TED conference, TEDxBroadway, The IBM Summit, La Ciudad de Las Ideas, PSFK, The Art Directors Club, and ISMAR International Symposium of Mixed & Augmented Reality, amongst others. Her work has been commissioned by The Discovery Channel, Nickelodeon, Miami Light Project, The Adrienne Arsht Center, The Miami Art Museum, and featured on The Travel Channel, HBO, MTV, and the BBC.
Tsakos was a finalist for the World Technology Awards 2013 presented in association with CNN, Time and Fortune Magazine. She is currently working on two full evening theatrical productions scheduled to premiere in 2015.
In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience.
