My wife died Friday after her second battle with cancer, and only 32. She suffered tremendously. She's at peace and has no suffering, but i truly am lost. Dont see a way forward. We bury her on Thursday. Lord, give me strength to make it through the ceremony. This song found me at the right time. Just wow.

My fiancee introduced me to this song, explaining how much it meant to her after her husband succumbed to his cancer a few years ago. I thought I understood it, and appreciated all of the the themes and emotions expressed here. Then she passed a few weeks ago from cancer, 4 days before I was to fly to the US to be with her. I understand, feel and appreciate everything a whole lot more now.

Me and my dad always listened to this album in the car and have concerts in the driveway. Now I sing this to him in heaven. He passed 6 weeks after his pancreatic cancer diagnosis last April. He's my guardian angel now but I'm a fucking wreck without him here ❤

My girlfriend is currently suffering from cancer and going through her worst state. Doctors have lost hope in treating her because it has spread by 97 percent. The slow loss of a loved one is destroying me from within. I don't know what to say to her as she has lost all hope of recovery, and I don't want to lose her

Oh my goodness - I’m so sorry to hear - well I’m in a similar boat - lost my mom to cancer and she was the hub that held the family together - and my brother and my dad and myself continue to struggle our lives with out her- well when this song was released I could not believe his fitting it was format that time!! my brother was involved in an accident which got his girlfriend killed and he is in prison now for the rest of his life!! So now my dad and I are all we have it just eats me up inside at times - this song I listen to over and over again it takes me back to those memories because of how wrecked my life is and now trying to pick the pieces up to keep moving forward has been an upward challenge for me but I keep going - one day at a time. Prayers for all of us who are damaged from the wreck of life.🙏

When this came out I was homeless, on drugs, and then jail. I now have a house, job, and husband. This song and “Clover Cage - In the Moment” are the two songs that helped get rid of my depression. I just want to send love to everyone and I want everyone to know things will get better. We are in this together..I love you ❤️

Today was my birthday when they released the music video and my dad died when I was 13 (I just turned 18) I miss him every day. It hurts like hell

It sealed into my mind the fragility of life and finality of this all. I’ve watched my brother face something that no one should have to. Back before I had ever heard of Imagine Dragons, my friend Alisha was always talking about her little brother in-law's amazing band, and how they were going to be huge someday. She was their number one fan as they rose to fame. This week they released a song about her death. This is that song. Alisha would be so proud.

I lost my twin brother in 2010. He was only 21. This song and music video is very similar to how I felt and feel still to this day. This song makes me cry every time. With the lyric and video being a great representation of loss of a loved one. Close or even distant family and friends.

Alisha Reynolds, Dan's Sister-in-law died from Cancer, on a interview he say she was a light in the darkness, bringing joy everywhere she goes and every person she cross by, in my personal experiences I have lost 3 love ones against Cancer, leaving a void in my heart, first was one of my paternal uncles, second my elder brother and third my maternal uncle, others died from either Parkinson (Paternal Uncle), Covid-19 (My grandmother) and a rare illness (Another paternal uncle), this was one by one on a short lapse of time, leaving me with no chance of mourn those lost!! so I feel sorry for Dan, Cancer is a hell of a Sickness!!! Edit: Also, Love how he is going to the microphone to sing with the band but, he is so sad that he just can't sing and go away to clear his mind going to the beach to get the acceptance that she is not around, just those memories he has of her!!!

I just wanted to take a moment to write out how it has affected and helped me during a very difficult process. When I first heard it, 2 years ago, my grandfather had just passed away. The man, for all intent and purpose, that was my father figure for majority of my life. Every time I hear this song, like now, I can't help but take a moment to remember him. To grieve him. I allow myself a few minutes to do that while listening to this song whenever it comes up. Grieving is never over. Thank you ID. Thank you for writing, creating, producing, and pushing a song like this out into the world.

I understand everything you’ve gone through. The loss of a grandparent messes you up. It’s like you haven’t been alive long enough to fully know them, but you still love them with your entire heart and soul. For me personally I’ve lost many family members that I cared for deeply. My great grandfather died a few years ago, and my grandad died just a year ago, and I still can still remember our memories like it was yesterday. Sorry for trauma dumping, and I’ve sorry to hear this happened to you. Just stay strong and tough through it; I know you can.

I've heard this song a hundred times and love it.... But tonight. Tonight it hit so very differently. I lost my mom in 2020 quite tragically (not due to covid). At the time I didn't have time to process my loss. I was incredibly sad, but I always hide my feels because I have to be the strong one to hold everyone else together. There are still days, 3 years later. I pick up th phone to call my mom only to remember, she won't be answering the phone. Today, for the first time I let all that pain process. Not that it's gone, it will be with me till the day I die. But it's not bottled up ready to exoplode anymore. I'll see you again Mom. 💜

My grandmother passed in 2012, and I never got to say good bye, or attend her funeral (because my dad was just that kind of spiteful at the time). My dog passed last year, and although it's not the same, she was still a major part of my life. I was with her until the end. Be it a beloved member of the family, a close friend, even someone you barely know... grief is not something everyone goes through the same way. The best anyone can do, is enjoy the time they have with the ones they're with. Every moment is precious. The fights, the make-ups, the laughs, all of it. Never forget them.

🥺😢 This is the end of the story of my beautiful wife and i, she died in 2019 drowned in the beach, i can't understand how is possible imagine dragons put all this situations on the video because is exactly how i see every day, all this moments are the same in my life, i think i see it among the people, moments that i am living every day since she went to heaven leaving my little son and me, i'll collapsed in tears and impotence with this i'll see you again my loved one, sometimes i think sit on the shore of the beach but i don't have the courage, i give everything to see her again by my side one more time.

Lost my mom to cancer last year when I was 19, I'm still in college. This song really speaks to me because after she passed, it's like I became a different person. My grades started slipping, I started sleeping around and getting into alcohol and drugs. Things I never would have done before. I just wish I would have been able to talk to her one last time, because chemo really messed her head up in her last days. My flight back home was late and she passed while I was on the plane, every day I think about what I could have done differently to show her that I loved her because I never had the chance. When I heard this song in the car, I started bawling, the first time I've cried since she passed. It might sound cheesy, but I've been listening to Imagine Dragons religiously since I was in elementary school, and this is the one that really has inspired me to turn my behavior around, because I know what I'm doing isn't what she would have wanted. I miss you, mom. Thank you, Imagine dragons, for inspiring me my whole life.

Those lyrics hit so close to home for me bc it makes me think about how when I was little my mom used to leave for weeks at a time after saying she'd be gone for only a few days and I used to wait on a chair at the window for hours to the point where I'd sleep there and I remember often watching the rain trickle on the window getting scared by the thunder but having no one to cheer me. Sry for a punctuationless rant but got a little emotional while writing it

My aunt(44) died so unexpectedly mounth ago. The biggest funeral ive seen in my life. Thousands of people whose life she changed and touched in a way were there. She was there one day and the other she just wasnt. The 4 kids she left behind 2 of which are 5 years old are left to her husband whom she marries a year ago. They just got into new house the kids started preschool the 3rd kid is about to finish school for pilot. And 4rth has a 5 figure job. She just got her life on tracks she was so happy this song reminds me of her. Turns out arthery in her left shoulder decided to give up that type of damage means death within 30 mins and canot be detected. I just wanna the crew of imagine dragons for making cry the hell out of me♥️

I just discovered this song recently.. And I honestly thought it was just released, it's been my favorite for the last few weeks and no doubt a new all time favorite. I obviously don't follow imagine dragons much, I have quite a handful of their songs, but Imagine Dragons just won me over as a way bigger fan. The amount of realness and emotion in this song, it is a POWERFUL and very very beautifully created song. This truly is art. The vocals blew my mind. And I watched the live version and that blew me away as well.

I've lost so many loved ones who were key to my life, one by one until it felt so much emptier, losing those who knew and loved me best and who I loved best from my childhood. Both parents, a brother, my aunts. But the one that hit the hardest and messed me up the most was my first grand daughter at 4yrs old. I just layed in bed most of a few years, so broken. I lost all these people within a few years. So brutal. One day I was driving down the road and I had a memory, a strong memory like I was there, reliving it. In this memory my family was gathered in a beautiful meadow, my granddaughter was there, and we were all gathered at her gravestone. Heaven was having a blow out celebration because she had been promoted or graduated to something that was a big deal for her and that she worked really hard and long to achieve, and we were all there to celebrate with her, it was like a ceremony and then she would be in the new place doing some kind of amazing job she'd always wanted in a next level. We were all happy for her. It was like this was where my consciousness went. When I came back to this reality, it was like that was real and this life didn't happen, then I slowly started to remember how it happened here and that it was utterly devastating for my daughter, her husband and other grand daughters, and myself. But it was the beginning of a slow trickle of healing. A healing I didn't think would ever come. And may not have without that vision/ memory.

This song hits hard as I Lost my 4 year old son to brain cancer. During his daily radiation treatments Before they would sedate him, he would play Thunder and Believer as he sang to every word. He would dance his way down the hall to the sedation room as he would sing loud for everyone to hear. He Loved Music but most of all He Loved Imagine Dragons so much! He fought so hard. My soul is shattered without his light in my life. The Waves of grief are so strong some days. 💔😖

I’m so sorry for your loss! This song brings me to tears, but is somehow so comforting to sing along with anyway. My family disowned me last year and I miss them so much!

2022-2023 so far has just felt like uncharted waters and waves. But this helps. I lost my grandpas from both sides of the family in late 2022. I was closest to my moms side and a few weeks after his passing, i saw him in a dream and he felt real. I hugged him and without saying a word, told me everything would be okay. Soon after my mom and grandma had similar dreams. It gave us a great deal of closure. This song helped me greatly
