Hi. It had come to my attention that many doctors out there overlook the possibility that a vascular compression on the motor root of the trigeminal nerve can cause no classical symptoms of the TN but show dystonic activity on all of the muscles innervated by the trigeminal nerve. I am a medical student who have done extensive research on this topic because I myself am a patient with Oromandibular dystonia(all muscles innervated by CNV and no classical symptoms of TN) with a MRI indicating a SCA compression of the trigeminal nerve and if you are interested in discussing more about this possibility, do leave a reply.

Are there different types of vascular loops syndrome? And do they cause eye twitching??

rez contain tz means tz is part of rez ...so how far rez from pons...in mm if any idea you can give ...like 3-4 mm total length of root entry zone and in this length transitional zone length is of 2mm...So this 2mm is more vulnerable and even this total 4mm rez is more vulnerable too?? Can you provide little details

I am currently suffering from Trigeminal Neuralgia since 1 and half year, my recent MRI this week was diagnosed with impression vascular loop on Trigeminal nerve and vascular loop on right 7th and 8th nerve complex. Can I please get any suggestions. Your contact please

As vascular contacts are common then why some have symptoms of trigeminal neurlagia??

It depends on what section of the nerve it is contacting and how close it is. Some patients have symptoms while others don't.

@@RadioGyan Mostly rez is symptomatic and cisternal is not yes severe compression is symptomatic but 60 percent healthy population have these vascular contacts and even if severe then even some don't have symptoms ..i.e not explained by anyone till date
