I really agree with the flight 37 scene, there were multiple ways homelander could’ve tried to save anyone if he wanted to, but he literally dosent give a SINGLE shit, he even threatens to kill them right there despite the fact they were going to die anyways. And Maeve trying to reason with him to be any level of good person is a good representation of the other side of supes, who actually care and just live in fear of homelander.

The plane scene is definitely my favorite scene of the show too. Love it. But one scene that I think sells the show the best for all three seasons and hopefully for the fourth is the scene of Homelander saying "I'm the Homelander... and I can do whatever the fuck I want."

as someone who had never heard of the show a couple years ago (i’d only seen the banner on prime video), i can say for certain the scene that defines the show and tells the audience what they’re in for is when A-Train kills Hughie’s girlfriend. i had no idea what the show was gonna be about (only vaguely by the summary) and i clicked on it cause i was curious about the whole superhero thing but after i saw that sequence my jaw dropped to the floor and i was so surprised that they’d go there i just had to continue watching to see where they were gonna take it lol

No, I think she is talking about the end of season two and the beginning of season three when he is going to work with Victoria Neuman. I think Susan just accidentally worded it a little differently. She was talking about how Hughie was like "We don't have to be monsters in order to defeat the monsters" and that's exactly how he talked to Butcher when he didn't want him to work with Neuman.

Love the flight scene. That moment of evil was not unexpected, but done so well. However I have to agree that A-Train vaporising the girlfriend was the most iconic scene and setup the whole show. That scene turned me against the show to begin with and I had t stop watching shortly after when he met up with Butcher. It took me until season two coming out to process what I had seen and go back to give the show another go. But when it came to trying to convince my reluctant brother to watch the Boys, when he said he was all super hero'd out, I just put the first episode on and told him to just humour me up until that point and then turned it off. Three days later he messaged me talking about the next episode of season two that I hadn't even got around to watching yet, he got that hooked.

6:10 Personally I think the reason they do it is to hint at something being off within the character. The idea of drinking milk or like, favouring it makes you think of childhood, and for a deeply dangerous, evil character to favor a drink given at childhood, TO ME, hints towards a f'ed up childhood.

The fact that nobody suggested Supernatural as a potential crossover makes me think it's already happening but they signed an NDA so they aren't allowed to mention it I mean, think about it... - both Eric Kripke shows - Supernatural confirmed the existence of other universes - The Boys mostly parodies Marvel and DC, both of which have done multiverse stuff recently - Many of the same cast members in both, including one having essentially the same name in both shows (Robert/Bobby Singer) - Rob Benedict, the actor who plays God (aka "Chuck) in Supernatural also got cast in Season 4. He played Splinter, who *apparently* died already, but, important to note that his real name was never revealed. Could it be Chuck? I think so.

@@concettasorvillo3719 I mean, I'm pretty sure the question was a joke because Gen V was created as a spin-off so isn't really a "crossover", and I honestly don't see The Boys doing a crossover with *anything* that isn't already set in the same universe But also, certain things have done "crossovers" with things that ended years ago, *and* there have been rumours of a potential Supernatural revival (I don't believe it'll happen, but who knows? It might). But anyways... Due to all the factors I listed in my original comment, I would honestly say Supernatural is the *only* show not already directly connected to The Boys that has even a *tiny* chance of a crossover.

well a handful of the cast actually already feature in The Boys (who played characters Dean, Bobby, the guy who plays Noir in the new season was an angel and Sam for next season), so it wouldn't make sense anyway. Soldier Boy is the complete opposite of Dean, stuff like that. Sorry to say, but it wouldn't make sense at all....
