I am a fire performer, have been for 16 years. Fire breathing is incredibly dangerous. I don't do it. Not only is the spitting out of fuel dangerous, having fuel in your mouth is dangerous. It's a cancer causing agent. The mouth is a porous membrane. I know a fire breather who just had to have his jaw removed in an attempt to save his life. (He did it for 11 years, regularly.) It's the fire thing most likely to kill the artist and/or someone in the audience. And doing it in a bar is irresponsible as hell. I discourage people from fire breathing. You only get one body for the rest of your life. Live long, live healthy.

Priscilla Chambers ghost look was my fav of the whole night. I felt like I could meet her under a streetlight and have a fun conversation with her, and then she magically disappears in a ghostly puff of smoke... like I love that. The whole character seemed spooky but loving and welcoming and kind. It’s like something out of American Horror Story plus a great message.

As someone with aspergers (i was diagnosed with aspergers with autistic behaviors) aspergers is now no longer used as a label and is rather seen as high functioning autism, and autism in general had been changed within these last 10 years, i personally say i have aspergers but it wouldnt be medically correct, but neither is it offensive, most people previously diagnosed still use the term just cause

queen darby being up to date on the medical terminology for ASD. i believe the etiquette is to use Autism/ASD when talking about it in general, and for all new people getting a diagnosis, but anyone who was diagnosed years ago and told they have aspergers can obviously still describe themselves with whatever words they feel comfortable with. also Alexis if youre ever in europe after lockdown, hey wassup

I love love Victoria and since her season fans felt she was robbed and her work is phenomenal, I would love to see her work on Face Off if they still had the show. I didn't think at the time the Boulet's appreciated her work as much, but believe they knew they weren't going to have her win this because the plan is to have her showcased more on a Allstar cast instead. Which I am certain they discussed with Victoria Black so that she would agree to be there to let the fans know to expect her to be showcased in the future. Everyone's work was so damn good, I was super impressed and loved seeing them work from home. Love seeing more of their process than the snippet we get from when they are on the show in the workroom.

My favorite was when they zoomed in on Loris' face in the witch one, and her eyes were filled with bright red bursted blood vessels and her mouth and teeth were dyed bright neon green... sure the make up and overall concept looked pretty and simple from afar, but those details were masterful and so effective imho

GURL! Ghost In The Darkness was one of my FAVE childhood movies to watch after elementary school with my best friend who would hang at my house until her parents finished work. It was Ghost in the Darkness, or Jaws. The essentials of what a 6 year old should watch.

Dragula Resurrection kicked off my first feelings that there might still be hope for Halloween this year. And now this review is sealing it for me. On the Asperger's thing I think it's a better definition to say I'm on the autism spectrum, but there's so much stigma and misunderstanding on the subject when it comes to talking to people it's easier for them to understand Asperger's. When I've explained it to people I say I'm on the autism spectrum and have what we used to refer to as Asperger's but they like to stick to saying Asperger's if they ever talk about that with me or someone else. Personally, I'm way less concerned with the language particulars and more concerned with people learning more about it and getting rid of the stigma surrounding it. I mean the reason I think people cling to the Asperger's over autism thing is because it is seen as less "scary" or "serious" than autism, and we shouldn't be thinking of autism that is something scary in the first place.

As someone who has Asperger’s syndrome, and is aware of the autism community rebuking that label, I think it’s appropriate of Victoria to identify herself as such, because that’s probably what her diagnosis was listed as. It’s not so politically correct anymore, but it’s still a valid diagnosis, even if it’s not used anymore.

Agre I do not think it is wrong that victoria indentifies herself as Aspenger. But acoording to the OMS is not a valid medical diagnosis since years ago. And it is a very ambiguous term. It is used for those with the characteristics of the old traditional diagnosis, for functional asd, for asd with very high iq, for "low levels" of asd ... and they are very different situations..

I think a lot of people still describe themselves that way. What confused me more what that she said her mother had only recently told her. If she'd been diagnosed before she remembered and her mother hadn't ever spoken to her about it that seems pretty weird and almost cruel. Also the use of the word "acute". I'm not sure what could mean in regards to autism. I might have to watch that part of the talking head again because I was really scratching my head. Maybe I misread what she said.

@@Pixietoria Now that I watch carefully what he said, it doesn't make any sense. Now having "Aspenger-ASD" seems cool for a Lot of people. In her season, it was not difficult for her to communicate what she thought or to make friends. That some people think that her personality and performances are boring has nothing to do with aspenger. A "acute"(severe) Authism SD is non-verbal.. Maybe she confused Acute Stress Disorder (ASD) with authism spectrum Disorder (ASD)?

@@anabel3148 I think it’s a strange thing to say if she doesn’t have it and it certainly wouldn’t necessarily be obvious to any of us whether she does or not. I wasn’t aware it was seen as “cool”. That’s strange. It doesn’t put her parents in a good light at all, but it also sounds as if maybe she hasn’t done much research about it herself and I find that a bit sad especially since she brought it up. I watched it again and she says “an acute version of Aspergers”. None of those words seem correct together. I discovered a year ago that I’m most likely autistic (although not formally diagnosed yet). It’s a pretty huge thing to discover as an adult (although admittedly I’m quite a bit older than Victoria). I was therefore quite intrigued when she brought it up. My first reaction to wonder what on Earth her parents actually said to her. And what the story there could actually be. Why keep that a secret? Then again maybe she was just nervous and confused her words. Or as you say, mixed it up with another disorder. 🤷🏽‍♀️ I’d be surprised if no one’s brought it up with her since the show came out. Maybe she’ll talk more about it. I’d be interested to know the full story.

I havent seen anyone talking negatively about Priscilla's ghost look, so that kinda shocked me! I thought it was so impactful of a message and saw so many trans women saying the same. We have people eating flesh and filth and doing cowgirl on dead bodies, but a trans woman cant dress like a prostitute ghost to share a message? I think her intent was from a place very important and close to her.
