A couple of things from the outset: 1. (IMHO) I’m so glad that Alexis is feeling better. Last week was really, really rough - though it was actually very sweet to see Nurse Darby taking such good care of Alexis. I’m just glad Alexis survived and we’re not having a funeral episode this week. 2. (Dragula) I was kind of shocked to realize we’re already at the Rock episode. I don’t think I’ve ever made it so far into a season and still been so non-committal as far as having a solid top three. I just haven’t really connected with them or seen really solid or consistent looks (aside from Throbb, who totally tricked us with the MOM bat look which was cute, but not like… not like the fuckin SERVES we’ve been getting on stage), and that’a weird this far in. There’s also been an issue for me of looks that are REALLY, REALLY GOOD… but what do they have to do with the prompt? Garbage Pail Kids week was a big example of this; Niohuru’s spider-vulva look was horrifying and well executed and so, so good… but it was not a GPK, like, at all. And that’s been a recurring theme, along with the Boulets calling some contestants out for it and telling others “I don’t see what this has to do with the theme, but I don’t even care because you’re so damn cool.” 🤷‍♀️ I just don’t have a solid top three yet, which is odd. 3. (IMHO) Darby, as always, is stunning… beautiful… and fuckin CORRECT. 13:00 Tom Cruise and David Miscavige are absolutely fucking, and welcome to the SP side because there is NO WAY she isn’t ending up with an SP order (maybe a PTS, but more likely SP since she’s also a lesbian) over that one. 😹😹😹 4. (DRAGULA) Jay Kay I’ve liked since MOM. I know it’s a bit unpopular, but Jay Kay was in my original top three and remains there. I don’t understand what is the issue with the other queens hating on her. I still am living for their Bellhop look, and this one was a specific type of rocker which is appropriate to her age group. It’s newer than what the Boulet’s were expecting because they’re older than Jay, but it was a perfectly serviceable MySpace-era Monster of Rock.
