Immanence - A signal from deep space leads 4 Radio Astronomers on a boat trip to the Bermuda Triangle to find what they think is an alien life form. Charting the voyage is the owner of the boat and at the helm is Jonah, a devout Christian who believes that God and Extraterrestrials are one and the same. Not privy to the Astronomers' true mission, Jonah overhears their plans and posits that it could be a divine entity. The scientists find his theological notion comedic until a power surge and the appearance of an identical boat lead to unexplainable events, including the manifestation of Satan who reveals a prophecy that puts all their lives at stake.

Great movie, watch it a few times to get the deeper meaning of the movie (ie: the oil spill, the pig, etc...). Its like the tv series LOST.

I agree. It was the first sci-fi movie I have watched twice since Nefarious. It shows that a "low budget" movie with unknown actors can still be fine.

For those still to arrive at the beginning of th9s movie, you may ask yourself "is it worth my time to watch this?" I just finished watching the whole 1:32:43. I'm 79, have had cancer surgery on both lungs, plus a course of chemo. Cancer may be gone, that's uncertain. I also have a number of other problems. Given that I have very limited life expectancy, though no firm schedule yet, I would have to say that the tie spent watching this movie plus the time writing this comment was a waste. Hope your outcome is better whether you choose to watch this or not. ☮❤ 😎 😎

A Diver, watching whales and sharks was swimming back to the boat from the shark cage and was being pursued by a shark. the whale ever vigilant opened its mouth so the diver was within the whale and placed the diver spitting him out on the other side of the boat for the time necessary to climb aboard. The other divers having witnessed the whale supposedly swallowing their diver friend, panicked and got back to the boat in double time, were surprised to see their dive buddy back onboard. whales do spit people back out but the reason the diver was in peril is a story that should not be forgotten. Sentience doesn't mean aggressiveness. Maybe man should heed that lesson. Just because you're intelligent doesn't mean you should be aggressive to all other beings on Earth.

The motor(s) were running and the drive shaft(s) were turning but the boat wasn't moving. I'm guessing the propeller(s)/screw(s) had fallen off. I have no explanation for how the pig got in the wire basket.

Christian Themed movies are Usually just too Hokey to watch. But this one was Pretty good‼️ "Left Behind" with Nicholas Cage was really good too ! Started out a bit hokey, but got a Lot better !

I liked the more recent version with “Hercules” (or Kevin Sorbo :) in it better. It’s a bit of a combination of the first 2 books as well, so not nearly as much time is spent on the airplane! ✈️

It turned out to be a good mystery/fantasy thriller. I'm not into overthinking things so I took it at face value : a thriller that has religious overtones. For that matter the movie is not being preachy, which is good. At one point I thought this is how religion is driving people crazy. Especially under pressure. All in all not a bad movie. Production qualities are good, timing, photography, even acting was OK for the style of movie. EDIT : Oh, and I didn't get the ending, but then again I'm not overthinking it. Just going for the ride.

Great movie. I never get why people can believe in any entity possibly existing but the thought of god is completely foreign and too "fairytailish" to them. Its all down to faith . God doesn't put up a sign saying "here I AM" His presence is in creation itself if you just open your eyes and mind to it. God bless

Scifi in the 50's often used biblical inspiration to tell a story. But, it was never as in-your-face as this. More like the Bermuda Triangle meets The Omen with a little Exorcist.

The whole science and religion thing would not have dawned on me when I saw the pig in the cage, logic would have suggested that another boat was close by and the people onboard were screwing around 🤷 It's much more logically than devine intervention or space alienx
