Halte es da mit Larry Coryell:wenn Euch etwas gefällt,verwendet es,lasst Euch bloß nicht einengen! Nur so entsteht Neues! Django und Sabicas sind großartig,aber es gibt auch einen Christian Escoude,einen John McLaughlin,einen Philipp Catherine,und einen Paco de Lucia,nur um ein paar zu nennen.Zu lange gab es da Berührungsängste.Dann gibts auch Schönberg,Stockhausen,Scrjabin,neue schwere! Klänge. Denke,das auch Django so dachte,sonst hätte es ihn nie gegeben.Das war damals auch neu und progressiv.die Nachfolgenden Generationen profitieren doch von solchen Leuten.Keine Weiterentwicklung bedeutet Stillstand.Was hindert jemand,der traditionell spielen will,daran,es zu tun? Also nicht für Andere sprechen.Die beiden sind genial! Der Musikkosmos ist zu gross und wunderbar,als das man manches ignoriert,das schafft Respekt vor dem,was andere anders machen! In diesem Sinne und viel Spass mit der Musik.P

@@pacoperima6638 hi pacoperima; Benny Golson is the composer of the this piece of music. There is hardly anything you can tell me about manouche jazz that I don’t know already. I’ve been playing for 40+ years, and spend quite some of that time playing Django stuff on and off and his later successors as well. Yes, Sebastien Giniaux, Adrien Moignard and Antoine Boyer are undoubtedly some of the leading guitarists of their time - playing manouche and anything else whatever they chose, and they’re not manouche… Neither is this piece of music, so what ever got you started about the gypsy thing ? “White” people can teach you how to play just as well as the other way around; music isn’t in your blood, it’s in your soul if it’s there and everyone needs to work hard to make it blossom, ethnicity untold. Apart from the 3 already mentioned, I’d say: Bireli, Angelo, Fapi, Lollo, Stochelo, Robin, Romane, Richard, Boulou … the list goes on as for manouche based players but people like Adrien, Sebastien and Antoine aren’t locked in that genre, they’re all expanding every genre they touch on just like with Bireli or Boulou and Romane before him
