A GMB survey by TES has revealed that 80% of teachers agreed that a lack of teacher training about how to support autistic pupils has affected those pupils’ education. This comes on the day the Department of Education released a statement backing a film by Good Morning Britain and Immie Swain and supported by The National Autism Society and distributed by The Autism Education Trust that will aid teachers in their training in how to spot the signs of autism in pupils.
