I use malenia's greatrune with a similar build to negate the damage i take while being hyper armor hit by bosses. I also went wirh a dex version of the build and am using fireknight's greatsword, but other than that exactly the same. Great build!

Actually not exactly the same, I didn't think of using seppuku with a different weapon and setting bleed at the start. Awesome build!

@@casualgg yes and it has a multiplicative 10% damage bonus to targets hit by it for 60 seconds. If you use mimic they use it regularly for some reason too.

so whats our bleed buildup with bloodflame blade with sepuku? if you put bleed insteady of heavy on the greatword at +25 its 121

Using blood infusion on greatsword also works, while it will require more investment. In this build, seppuku is only used to get the buff at the beginning of the fight. Bloodflame lasts long to proc bleed.

yeah, at higher level Watchdog Greatword can be a bit better, while greatsword rocks!

I cannot use blood flame blade on the Greatsword for some reason. Is this a bug? I only have the normal finger seal.

What infusion do you have on the weapon. It only works for standard, heavy, quality, keen.

Consider using quality infusion and max out both strength and dexterity. Adding more faith to use whatever protection incantation you would like, e.g. 38 faith to use blessing of the erdtree. Rest goes into either mind or endurance.

seppuku buff only applies to the weapon with seppuku aow so whats the point of that if youre only gonna use greatsword? correct me if im wrong

Oh, I meant the buff from white mask and lord of blood’s exultation. I should have made it clear in the video.

I ended up with a similar build to this one, but using Dex + Arcane instead of Str and the [Occult] Great Katana instead of greatsword. innate bleed, so no bloodflame blade. I'm not sure how much worse it is than Str/Dex version, but it feels pretty strong

Do you mean Great Katana? Greatsword is a colossal sword which has higher base weapon AR. As for blood infusion, greatsword has B scaling with strength (both D for dex and arcane) vs great katana has C scaling with dex (both D for str and arcane). Also native blood loss build up at 120 vs 100. IMHO, greatsword is much better but with much heavier weight. You can save some points in endurance while wielding a lighter weapon, but if two-handling the weapon, we have 1.5 multiplier in the str investment.

@@casualgg indeed it's great katana. I am able to have points left over for faith (golden vow etc) as well as running 28 end. So yeah I bet greatsword is higher DMG but I've got some utility stuff

You want to use only physical affinity with no infusion so you can buff with bloodflame blade. More base damage + bleed.

Draec is correct. I used heavy infusion. We can not use blood infusion as it will not apply bloodflame blade. We can choose to use blood infusion though, but the scaling is different and require more investment in points, which is not ideal for a 150 character. However, if you are at very high level, try blood infusion out.

It is the Rakshasa set in the DLC. Each piece will give us 2% increased damage, and it has nice poise. It is popular now.

From 00:13, the first drill did 5184 damage on Godrick with the initial buff of white mask and bloodlord's exultation. The initial buff wore out right after the first drill as the buff sign disappeared. 00:14 the second drill adds the damage to 9165. Luckily we can see the bleed didn't trigger during the second drill, as the buff sign didn't come back. So the damage, which is 9165 - 5184 = 3981, is purely done by the drill's physical damage buffed as consecutive attacks. Because no bleed was triggered. 4K damage in one cast is very impressive in base game. It will be higher in DLC as we will have scudratree Fragments.
