Great vidéo ! In NG+7 it tooks me 3 hits which so great for Radhan 😊 I have a question, is it worth it to go above 80 for arcane and intelligence stats ?

I use malenia's greatrune with a similar build to negate the damage i take while being hyper armor hit by bosses. I also went wirh a dex version of the build and am using fireknight's greatsword, but other than that exactly the same. Great build!

Actually not exactly the same, I didn't think of using seppuku with a different weapon and setting bleed at the start. Awesome build!

How long do all the madness buffs last?

Black dumpling effect lasts 60 secs. The effect lasts 30 seconds with the aged one's exultation and madding hand. These are longer than the bleed buffs with white mask and blood lord's exultation, which last 20 secs.

can you try to make a occult nagakiba? its basedamage is higher + because of the high arcane the blood effect is pretty much the same as in a blood nagakiba

Good idea. It will be a trade-off between higher damage and more blood loss buildup. For nagakiba, blood affinity has D, B, D scaling in str, dex, and arcane. Occult affinity has E, D, B scaling in str, dex, and arcane. The base damage of blood affinity and occult affinity are at 236 vs 247, and base blood loss build up 82 vs 38. I haven't done a full comparison, while blood affinity looks more appealing in this case.

@@casualgg I get your point. Back then the occult affinity had different scaling grades so it was pretty overpowered. But it got nerfed. A comparison would be great

@@sentrien3877 Agree. For the same weapon, the trade off between more damage and more bleed is always there. It also depends on the enemy's resistances. It might easier to compare between different weapons, like this one I did recently: kzfaq.info/get/bejne/qdhga8l92bXUfYk.html. The difference for Nagakiba is not that obvious. I heard folks mentioning the beast claws weapon in DLC - the occult scaling has made it to have similar base damage as heavy infusion while Occult has the blood loss buildup on it.

We only use it to cast incantations such as howl of shabriri to trigger madness. It was not used to deal damage. Did I miss anything?

@@Smoke-89 My recommendation is to go with double slash, as its moveset is easier to control because you can control how many hits to launch. For other AoW mentioned above, it will require better understanding of the enemies' moves to successfully launch them and keep spinning without interruption, especially dealing with new DLC content if you just start it.

Coming back after the final dlc boss, used the sword lance because it got blood buildup as colossal weapon for some reason 😂 You still got to control stamina well , actually harder than it looks👍🏻 Oh and this worked well in ng7 too, since stance break builds are near impossible with added defence and every boss 2 shot you

Yes, exactly. I am using it for many consecutive attack based builds later in the channel. It is awesome to get hp back as we attack after getting any damage.

Charged attack would be the R2 (i am on a joystick). In the video, the rain of arrow was fired using the default weapon skill/ash of war on the lion greatbow. So it was the ash of war button.

Messmer soldier's spear has higher arcane scaling at A with occult affinity, while it doesn't have the native bleed on it.

In NG+7 he has 66,611 HP. This build did 67,680. He has a littler higher bleed resistance - 856 vs 785, which should be fine. I don't know how much defense he will have - less damage taken. I think it should be theoretically possible or close to it. If not one shot two phases, one shot each phase should be totally doable.

Maybe replace it with the Milicent's Prosthesis? It does not work with AoW though.

@@casualgg but the prostesis doesn’t effect aow anyways and the 2 handed talisman is a guarantee 15% increase to damage straight from the rip where the prostesis has to climb through damage range and maxing out at 11% I believe

Fromsoft usually doesnt care about dlc. If you have pc just get the files from a friend or something and throw it in the game file. Thats what i did its running great online and all.

Ive done a bunch of testing, & there is pretty much zero reason to run the claws like this. With how your using them every single other claw outshadows them. Bloodflame raptor talons, attack significantly faster & build bleed at double the rate. Smithing talisman, Shard of Alexander, Magic Scorpion, Ritual sword. Use magic cracked tear. Spamming the AOW is much more effective this way for claws of night.

Thanks for sharing. (1) have you compared the raw damage of claws of night and other claws? better bleed is a good angle. (2) for claws of night's weapon skill, yup, there are a couple of talismans to increase its damage, while is my test I haven't made it better than consecutive damage yet as the AoW is kinda slower. Curious to see a comparison. It is very good for clearing in the open field, while helping close the gaps in boss fights imho. Also curious, be able to really use ritual sword taliman in the DLC needs some talent. I admire that.

@@casualgg I did a very extensive test on mesmer. R2 into R2 on bloodflame raptor talons was significantly better every time. You can basically pull off 2 between every attack(takes about 4 to proc bleed). The R1 chains come out slower on Claws of Night & you can only get 1 less hit with 2 button inputs and build up much less bleed. The AOW did decent damage, but trying to get more than one per attack interval often gets you hit. I think its better suited for large bosses, where every bit of the AOW can hit.

@@casualgg I do my runs on scudatree level 0, I didnt use howl of shabriri either, so hard to compare to your vid :). AOW with golden vow, smithing talisman, shard of alexander, ritual sword and magic shrouding tear was doing around 1700 damage @ about 70dex.

Moore shield 90 gaurd boost. . Sword lance with blood infused Craig blade is 160 bleed buildup and higher damage but seppeku is even more bleed buildup, white mask and rest rakashas cause you shouldn’t get hit ever really, two headed turtle tal, lord of bloods, pearl shield talisman, spear tal or erdtree favor if need more stamina and life. Thorny tear / stamina Regan tear or opaline hard and stamina if you are taking hits. Use flask, golden vow, bloodboil aromatic for damage and stamina, But can use fgms if needed cause your getting hit. I’m high level and man I wreck stuff. I always use rakashas armor with white mask and use golden vow and opaline hard tear for damage reduction to cancel out blood boil as it helps with stamina a lot. But I do switch to heavy heavy armor
