For sure! my issues with the class aren't really that it's not fun or powerful (it is, especially late game), it's that the need for specific items annoys me and the way difficulty spikes with wave 14, especially with an elite. I think lots of players die there and have no idea why, because it's very opaque especially if you're newer. I think the class could be smoothed out by adding a bag to your starting items, maybe at the cost of another economic penalty, and maybe just making elites not spawn on 14 (same as how Jack can't spawn hordes)

@@Cephalopocalypse You definitely have more hours than me in this game, but I really feel that the bag isn't that essential. It is huge value, no doubt about it, but by building luck and getting 5-6 crates per round, you don't really need the economy for purchasing items. I honestly think that the recycling machine thing is even more value, simply because you sometimes get items which are worse than not having them. Additionally, even when getting bag first round, I don't remember it ever resulting in more than 400 throughout the game. About wave 14, I honestly think that this is where the screwdrivers really get useful. At this point you might've even gotten increased explosion range, or at the very least 6 blue screwdrivers or the equivalent. Especially also with the luck build, you deal damage with cyber ball or elephant.

I really need to actually read level 4 weapons sometime.

Thanks so much! I actually love the one handed, even though it's weak - it's a really interesting challenge and makes you think about the game differently. Explorer annoys me from a design perspective more than from a power level perspective - I just think requiring specific items on a character is bad design, and randomly losing a run almost every time you get a wave 14 elite is both frustrating and really opaque for newer players as to why the run is failing.

Nice! Lots of people love explorer, which is great! I think my problem with it isn't that it isn't fun or powerful (it is) but that it's somewhat random, and it's very opaque to newer players why they're losing (wave 14 elite, or not rolling the specific items that are a lot of the build's power)

I should remember to add in some Rush Hour thumbnails to continue my quest to reference only movies my audience is too young to have seen.
