The race was really entertaining for me. Granted I skipped to the pitstops and then skipped to the last few laps without missing anything

Question for Spanners and Trumpets, with your new found love of Oval racing, will you be watching the Indy500 on Sunday? It is a cracking race. After an F1 race this week which was considerably lacking in overtaking, and with Monaco being famous for it's lack of overtaking, the Indy500 would be a real treat to watch. Treat yourselves to a highspeed thriller, and bring the Monaco race review forward.

from 0.7 behind, Lando for sure would have had him. Dosnt matter how good a driver is with the inability to turn in, no way he had anything left to fight with - then there is the battery issue - one more lap would be enough for sure. Max won fair and square, but if you had an alternate reality where there was an extra lap, yeah, nah, lando would have him

All old school F1 fans(Real fans) loved this race.. Modern "Drive to survive and Dynasty" fans , they have zero clue. They hated it..

Russell has been a big disappointment. He looked pretty good in his first Merc season, and was saying all the right things. Since early 2023 though, he's frequently sounded insecure and like he feels he has to defend his performances. In his defence he must be frustrated with the timing of his move to Mercedes, but that's motorsport - you can be frustrated briefly, but then you have to get on with it and show you're the driver your team needs, and ideally the driver the other teams need as well. Russell doesn't seem to be doing that, and I can see why Wolff is so keen to get a good driver in the other seat as soon as possible. Maybe Russell will come good when Hamilton is gone, but it may be too late by then.

11:22 Verstappen wasn't slower because he worried about the black and white flag; he gained time gaming track limits. Norris in turn lost time with his excursion off track.

You don’t gain enough time in 3 times you get before a black/white flag, to then have to be cautious for more than half the race

Unpopular take: Max is just getting bored in f1 now. He’s iracing on weekends & the last two races he’s just been testing how much he can damage the car and still win a race. Last week he had an off and ran over a bollard damaging the floor reducing his pace a little too much gifting Norris the win. This week he went off track twice early and the second launched the car into the air off the kerb. He’d been half a second a lap faster than Norris before the incident, then he wasn’t. He’s just been giving false hope to fans who are fooled into believing he’s still not the fastest car on race pace by half a second simply because in quali trim McLaren & Ferrari have caught up and the last 2 races he’s been bored and made early mistakes which cost them race pace.
