This was basically a modern day version of New Blood, similar storyline in WCW in which younger guys were put together on war with older guys. Not suprisingly, Sting, Nash, Booker T and Steiner were all involved heavily in both storylines. However the roles were reversed this time. In WCW, older guys were pushed as faces, while younger guys were pushed as heels. Many saw this as the reason that New Blood storyline was not working out, as it turned audience against the younger guys, including Booker T and Steiner who were members of New Blood, and they cheered for older guys. This time they did the right thing by making older guys heels in war against younger guys. And it totally worked out.

Back when I always tuned into TNA/Impact. The MEM was one of my favourite stables during this period. They had some top, top guys back then. Also Kevin Nash wasn't happy Brother Ray didn't mention The Outsiders lol.
