Күн бұрынWe've gone so far with netcode we have to add lag back into the game.
PS4 Pro is roughly 4 frames of input delay, and not having that can mess with a lot of combo timings. Using the steam controller settings, we can manually give ourselves that input delay back and have it be present during online matches, preserving that offline muscle memory.
This is tech that really only matters if you're planning to play DBFZ competitively in an offline tournament.

Dope video, switching from “PC Defense” to PS4 is a real challenge at majors and it’s great to mimic the PS4 environment for practice beforehand

The defense in this game is what really demonstrates that Arc Sys built this game around the console input delay. I remember the Parsec days where players were playing without input delay and you could not open them up without 50/50’s. That and we didn’t utilize the mental stack like France developed with their pressure until later.

I think the solution for arcade sticks is to set your lever to d-pad on the stick itself and not thumbstick.

They are set to that by default, so this method works for them automatically. I was informed soon after I made this video
