I am married living with my spouse for 5 months. Can I file single at the end of the year? Can I submit being single a new W-4 after the divorce is final with my single income pension earnings of $10,000? and do I have to pay taxes on my social security, I am 65.

Complex question that depends on specific circumstances. Your filing status at December 31 is how you should file your return: married, married filing separate, head of household or single. I would suggest you hire a good divorce accountant to help you with the rest of your questions
