The specific card trick of "Cutting to the Aces" is usually reserved for hardcore gambling techniques and routines. John Scarne made this effect famous for his "impossible" ability to cut to 4 aces from a shuffled deck. There are MANY versions of cutting to the aces, but this is probably the easiest yet remains super powerful. Hope you enjoy!! Thanks Patrick!!!!

You have to peel the front and the back off two cards without damaging them and glue them back together with rubber cement (used for bicycle inner tube patches) if you want to make a double face or back card. Then it isn't abnormally thick and still retains the springiness. Enjoyable tutorial btw.

Simple and elegant.... simply elegant ..Okay.. One question, assuming we're not suppose to come in with the deck already set up, how does one justify getting the two (aces) cards from the top of the deck to that initial middle of the deck position?
@moosic9491
@moosic9491 5 жыл бұрын
Hey jmpdgs! I like doing magic for a past time, and I think I have an answer... what I like to do is palm all 4 aces while they shuffle. I usually like to use a finger to put a break in between to easily separate later. Then I take the deck back and drop the first pair of aces. Then I do a freely chosen riffle (still palming two aces) and when I separate the decks, I put the two aces on top of the second packet of cards. I hope this answers it....
@moosic9491
@moosic9491 5 жыл бұрын
Also another way is, is to have the four aces already on top. U tell the spectator to try to get it as close to center as they can. When u do the riffle, let them say stop when it is about even. When u separate the two packets of cards, the one with the four aces and the other with nothing, u can say the packets look a little uneven. U can slide the top two cards off of the packet with spades onto the other one, thus putting the aces on top of the middle one
@PatrickKunmagic
@PatrickKunmagic 5 жыл бұрын
You can either swivel cut two cards down as you "shuffle" or just slip two down casually as you are talking to them.

I’m confused. When did you put the two aces in the middle?
@ankitsoodu
@ankitsoodu 5 жыл бұрын
I think it has to be some move he does when he riffles through the deck to give alex a peak. You can kind of see his thumb doing some sort of pulling/shifting but I have no idea what that move is. I'd love to learn it or look it up if anyone knows it. I feel like I wouldn't get away with cutting and counting off two cards mid performance.
@maddiewang3347
@maddiewang3347 5 жыл бұрын
Ankit Sood thanks for replying I think it might be when he riffles through the deck too, though I have no idea how. I guess we will have to figure it out 😂
@PfropfNo1
@PfropfNo1 5 жыл бұрын
I came with a way to hide it a little bit: start with the 4 aces on top. Riffle through the cards and show to the spectator “rememberd all cards? Now that you saw them, i make it harder for you” and then you take some cards out of the middle and put them on top. At least you wanna make it look like this. You get a pinky break between the 2 top cards and then take a bunch of cards from the top except the top 2 cards. When you regrip a little bit your left hand (if holding deck in left) thumb can be put on the deck an catch the top 2 cards. Now you have 2 piles each having 2 aces on top. Complete th cut and hold a break.

A trick with 2 aces would be so much better. The last part made the trick look very lame. "You cut two times" you say, and all I can think about - "so what, you didn't use my cuts at all! why you acting like you did?". And even though I have no idea how two pairs of aces got there, it still spoiled the mood by a lot.

It doesnt have to be 4 Aces , any 4 of a kind is fine .Jacks Queens Kings ,.. Or any card like 7 or 9 . It doesnt matter , the point is to make it look like the spectator cut the deck into 4 of a kind himself.
