One solid piece of wood, a paddle, somehow passes through another solid piece of wood, a canoe, through a small hole. How is this possible? Watch this video to see how it's done. See how you can build this yourself.

Cool. I saw a video once on how this guy creates these thick, curved wooden beams, for use in ship making, horse carts (I think) and buildings. It was a similar process; take a thick wooden beam, steam it for like a day so its totally waterlogged using this big steamer and then they would put it in a special vice to slowly bend the beam into shape, before leaving it to dry out for several days. After it dries it gets stuck in the new bended shape.

Why not just clamp the entire paddle in the vice then it will reshape uniform when immeressed in the water the second time👍I like this trick...btw because of the shape of the paddle it determines the the boat as a kayak...a canoe uses a single end paddle whereas a kayak uses a paddle on both ends of the shaft...I do a bit of kayaking...so this is cool for me👌

The upper blade support on your band saw should be no more than a quarter of an inch from the piece being cut. Just a safety note.

Like the projects, but I do have issue on the improper use of the band saw. The upper guide needs to come down closer to the wood to keep the blade from twisting.

You are correct. Also, that bandsaw has been replaced with a proper one. It was a cheap piece of junk.

Did you know that TikTok has a algorithm, so it literally only tries to show you what you are interested in after a few hours or so. I dont get how this is supposed to be better than literal tailored clips for you, especially with the scipted conversations between him and the kid.

@@licious6033 first of all, KZfaq also has an algorithm, secondly both algorithms don’t try to show you what you’re interested in but what will get you to stay on the app for the longest amount of time. Third of all they have a different pool of videos to recommend to you and I would say KZfaq’s is a lot better than tiktok

I know damn well they would ! There used to be a TV commercial in the 90s ...”scientists found a working model of a glider in a 3000 year old tomb. Did the ancient Egyptians discover the secret of flight?” It was a carving of a bird.

I thought that it would be piece of wood and it was cut into the shape so the paddle would be there but I never thought about that water trick
