The proper tools and supplies make all the difference when hand stamping. First, always stamp on a steel block that is placed on top of a hard, sturdy surface. Second, make sure the stamping blanks are of a soft or medium rated metal: Alkemé, aluminum, pewter, copper, brass, fine silver and gold. Lastly, for best results, use a metal stamping hammer with a brass head in order to stamp clean, even impressions. A brass ensures the shock of each strike is absorbed evenly, preventing bounce back and double impressions. This set includes our signature letter stamps (in the black cases) which are compatible with steel, however stamping on a curved surface may take time and practice :)
