Lovely and peaceful. One of the most beautiful counties of England.

I'm a Derbyshire lad born and bred but I must admit I do have a big soft spot for Shropshire. We've been loads of times and it has such lovely villages, historic towns and some lovely scenery. I'd hate it to be spoilt as its one of our most stunning counties with loads to see and a fabulous county town of Shrewsbury.

I live in Shropshire bud and grew up here to now see that it is being ruined.. More green belt is being dug up to build houses on. Traffic is a nightmare now and crime is going up. We had a 20 year old young lad stabbed to death three months ago and another recently. Too many people are moving into the area and it will end up like most other places given time.. Stratford upon Avon is a great place or Warwickshire..

@@jcbritish1736 Sign of the times mate. The rate of housebuilding in Nth Derbyshire is ridiculous, every piece of land being built on. There's a small bit of railway land between us and a railway line- they've got permission for 19 houses on it , it'll totally surround us. Try and cherish what you've got though, Shropshire's still nice but don't tell everybody! They'll all want to come!
