Looks really good! I have two Neca part 3 masks. I turned one into a Freddy Vs Jason mask and the other was my first Jason mask so I want to keep it the way it is, plus it’s the 2013 release with the old more yellow color

one trick i saw for weathering a mask like this was to do a pus yellow undercoat, so when you chip of the top layer it looks more like actual fibreglass would, i did it for a few casey jones masks and it makes it look more vintage, the white with the yellow showing through looks like damage ive seen on actual hockey masks

I customized my first Jason mask for Friday the 13th this year and i didn't have paint or anything so i sanded the clear layer off, then rinsed it. I took tea damp bags and dabbed it all over the mask let it dry then went ofver it again, i did it like 4 of 5 times then made the chirons using red insulation tape then took a light instant coffee powder and rubbed it in the mask to give a dirty used look then i sprayed water over it by dipping my fingers in water and flickering it at the mask a few times. Then i let that dry then i took pepper powder and rubbed that also into the mask and it have a dark color which i liked then i left it coz i got tired. Then i came back a bit later and took a darker stronger coffee and took a cloth and dabbed it alo along the mask then i let it dry. Finally i added my damage to the mask adding scratches cutting parts of the chivrons off and cut the axe part into the mask. I'm pretty happy with the end result

Have a question for you. I purchased the mask kit you have on your Etsy, and I sanded with the sandpaper you provided. I don’t know if I possibly did too much, or the grit was too much. It scratched up the entire mask and didn’t give a smooth finish after painting. Damage after was very difficult because the knife kept getting caught. Thoughts or advice? Love the videos! I personally like to use almond color paint for my masks. Has more of a brown yellow color.
