This is an absolutely amazing excercise to improve on a single pedal! It’s frustrating at first but once it clicks!! This method is for real within a week of doing this 4/5 times a day I’m not easily hitting doubles so thanks bro 👌🏽

120 bpm??? Man that’s high level. I added the sixteenth on the 1 in bar 3 and I can just barely get to 105. Love this exercise though, JRod. Appreciate you 🙏

Good stuff. I just started learning several months ago. One thing I noticed from watching experienced drummer is just by having a quick foot and also adding ghost notes a simple drum beat can sound killer. I'm getting there with my foot but ghost notes are challenging me as I'm playing on an ekit. I can play ghost notes but trying to get the volume low is the problem. Nice guns btw haha.

So the movement is equivalent to doing calf raises (exercise). The faster I get, the more ankle and less leg movement I use. Mainly ankle movement overall.

Practice and get the pattern down by muscle memory speed like this is a result of constant repetition

Start with a very very slow bpm until you can get it down and move up but make sure it sounds clean and on time

Wouldn't be bar 4 being "1e e2e e3e e4e e" make more sense? That way the 3-kick pattern would displace itself 1/16 each bar
