You can start off with lmp if you have little car experience. Its not like its a requirement, look at fia docs. He probably wants to race in other Lmp series too to work his way up to wec or weathertech. Prototype racing is better than gt racing imo, from a drivers perspective

@@davidfarmerracing well at least you’re in america. There are drivers in many sportscar series who didn’t see that as an excuse and made their money to fund a career. Also many drivers in the past, such as ken block and Sidney Taylor. Also plenty of drivers in one make champs, gt4, tc, etc who are somewhat young and self funded. Im on that path myself, hopefully this motivates you if you want your racing dreams to come true eventually. Its not too difficult if you have the right mindset, especially since Im privileged enough to grow up in capitalism and America.
