So for any curious, I think the reason the alien explodes in this one is the cooling system is only cooling its exoskeleton, a hard shell basically. Its insides, like the acid blood, are still boiling hot from the molten lead. The conflicting temperatures crack and weaken the exoskeleton but due to the blood being boiling and still trying to expand with the heat, it bursts out through the brittle exoskeleton Its own skin killed it instead of saving it, basically. We would have died immediately because our internal skeleton doesn’t protect us like an exterior skeleton like the xenomorph or any sort of bugs getting protection from temperature changes for a limited time

Hicks was killed off as well. James Cameron was pissed off at this as he spent considerable time writing and developing those characters and their relationships just to be killed off camera.

It's impossible that an egg was on the Sulaco. It's not that the queen wasn't onboard long enough to lay one, she didn't even have the ability to anymore because Ripley destroyed her ovipositor. That's why the queen was so pissed in the first place. Between that and the unceremonious killing off of Hicks & Newt in the opening credits, that's precisely why so many fans of the first two movies absolutely despise this one. When you piss off the fans in the first five minutes of your movie, it doesn't really matter if the rest of it is any good or not. It's gonna be hated and deservedly so.

This reminds me of this one alien movie that I can't remember the name of about this alien that came away from space to the form of a dead husband in the movie or something like that and kidnap this woman and had the best adventure by seeing the world and had the best time of his life with the woman and then both of them feeling love has sex the woman can get pregnant and had three magical black alien orb ball the grant 3 wishes in the wish for the woman to be able to get pregnant and at the end of the movie the alien had to go back space have to go back home because he was dying from being on Earth
