Luther, the twisted sorcerer who made the castle into a place of your darkest nightmares must know what I am up to, he will be waiting for me.
I didn't want to go. I wanted to leave all behind and run. Run as far as I could to a place where they never heard of this forsaken place.
There was only one way to break the curse. And nobody better to do it than me.
I knew I had to go and as much as I tried to avoid it with endless preparations now was a perfect time. On a sunny midsummer day at noon.
Getting to the castle was unsettlingly easy, no traps, no monsters. I entered through the main gate, the huge oak door closing behind me.
And suddenly the place was dark save for a few candles and magical blue flames lighting my way. The day turned into night and summer into the coldest winter.
There was no way back.

Isn't October just a perfect month for reading some dark medieval fantasy? As I am just reading one such series, I couldn't really create anything else.
So here it is: an ambience of a dark castle with drafty halls, mysterious footsteps, and haunting echoing sounds accompanied by ambient fantasy music.

Ever since the game Amnesia The Dark Descent, I've been obsessed with dark, spooky castles. This reminds me of the game, and better yet I can be still and listen to the ambience without worrying about being chased 😂

This is one of the best creepy, scary theme soundeffects /music ambience pieces I've found. All the sounds blend well and the music part is really mesmerizing and helps.put me into a great meditative state. Its really great for when you are just plotting story ideas and a story line for a game or a text story, or just daydreaming.

I’m running a dnd campaign and just recently started getting into playing music that fits the environments the party is in. And this is one I already added to my playlist for a castle invaded by goblins that I’m going to use. It’s both soothing and eerie at the same time, like you almost don’t want to know what’s around the corner ahead of you 😅 keep making this type of material!

..walking in the dark hallways at night, he heard silent screams..his face stayed cold and emotionless as the sound of pouring rain was heard from outside the windows..he stopped in his tracks as he stared outside looking through the stained glass window that separates him from the night.The shadows of darkness stretched on for what seemed like an endless journey of despair and malice as the rain hit the windows as if begging, clawing, *trying* to enter the castle to run from the very night that laced the sky…Thunder struck loudly echoing through the halls of the castle as the sky flashed from lighting leaving an echoing eeriness of thunder strikes and crashes behind its path of deceit as if screaming like the souls of the forgotten. The lights in the hallways flickered along with their flames as they burned dimly in the dark castle halls..cold air radiated off of Kuragari as he coldly looked out at the landscape…the moon was but nothingness as the dark clouds filled the endlessly dark sky…

This may sound weird/cringe... But I'm a huge fan of the game Super Paper Mario. When I listen to this track, I picture someone wandering the ruined halls of Castle Bleck. No allies, no enemies, nothing but them and their thoughts... At least, that's what it seems. But they can't shake the feeling of something silently watching them... Judging them... Wondering if they could be of use. They should not be here. They should have never come here. For something truly evil is still trapped in these black corridors. And it wants out. It wants revenge.
