You were so right about his amazing work on Vital Signs’ album. The guitar riff of Namumkin sounds so futuristic even today . Gumby bhai if you have any candid/archival footage of Amir Zaki playing .. pls do share. I’m his great fan and there’s very few videos I find of him.

You two are easily some of the most grounded musicians I've heard! I love the emphasis on TONALITY. Its such an important factor, and its taken for granted but I'm glad it was given so much importance in this video!

You've also been on tours with Junaid Jamshed. I request that you make a video based on your memories with him. That'll be great.

The amount of knowledge and wisdom you guys have is simply amazing.. I've a really stupid question which you can totally ignore if you want... If you're going to buy an aquistic guitar and you're absolutely tight on budget but you still want to play something which worth your money and also sounds most people would suggest a fender cd 60 or yamaha F310. What would you suggest I should buy in electric which is budget friendly and also sounds good.

I would love to see Mr Mannu, Omran Shafique, Asad, Jaffer and you in one podcast together. Learning from your experiences will be an honour. The good old days of Coke studio journey and reliving it again would be magical 😍

I really want you to share your own experiences with different bands in entirety. Like your own situation when you joined Vital Signs, I believe that was for live gigs and not the studio stuff. Also Vita Signs have a very set drum pattern how do you feel playing all the music with more or less similar samples. Then came Junoon, I am sure that must’ve been a different experience from studio to live outfit. And then ironically Ali Azmat, how was that experience. So something on a similar level sharing us the technical insights and the inspirations. It’s ok, don’t share the the inner band bantings ( of almost human nature 😛). Anyways great stuff. Loved both episodes with Asad. While I pretty much take what Gumby says to be gospel, I have a slight disagreement on the idea that developing your guitar sound in post or using plug-ins is somehow the wrong approach. While I agree that it's not ideal but for amateur guitar players and producers, it allows us to get the tone we want without spending a crazy amount of money on pedals and amps. I don't think there is anything wrong with developing your tone using plug-ins. Again, that is my personal opinion but Gumby knows best 😀
