I say that phrase almost on a daily basis... one should enjoy life while one can, life is too short. 😊 The good news is that Sunday's video will probably be in Lisbon once again. It reminded me Harry Potter's mantle) what do those colors mean? Saudações de Salvador, Bahia, Brasil, Miguel! Excelente vídeo, adorei rever a cidade onde estive duas vezes com a minha esposa: no Natal de 2016 + Ano Novo de 2016-2017 (inverno), onde nos hospedamos em um hotel no Parque das Nações; e em agosto de 2019 (verão), onde ficamos no Saldanha. Tenho pelo menos 6-7 livros sobre a história portuguesa, a maioria adquirida em Portugal (na Bertrand em Lisboa e na Lello, no Porto). Fizemos muitos passeios por Lisboa e conhecemos Évora, Fátima, Sintra, Cascais, Nazaré, Óbidos, Batalha, Porto, Braga e Guimarães. Viajamos de comboio (trem) Intercidades e carro. Temos vontade de voltarmos a Lisboa para uma nova jornada de dois meses, quem sabe. Só falta conhecermos o sul do Alentejo e o Algarve, basta um bom planejamento. Da primeira vez que estivemos em Lisboa fomos advertidos pela nossa guia para tomarmos cuidado com as ciganas que rondavam na época as imediações do Mosteiro dos Jerónimos, no Belém; a nossa guia disse-nos que algumas poderiam ser ladras. No entanto, o que você nos advertiu na Praça da Figueira é novidade para mim. Na verdade temos que ter cuidado em qualquer parte do planeta, porém, no geral, Portugal é, na minha opinião e pelo que vi e senti, um país seguro e de ruas limpas. Pelo menos podemos usar os celulares (telemóveis) sem medo nas ruas portuguesas.

Olá Alexandre, obrigado pelo comentário tão interessante! 😊 Parece quase o roteiro do canal, os locais que já filmei e os que ainda falta filmar (Algarve, sul do Alentejo). Sim, na zona de Belém muito cuidado com as pessoas que nos abordam... e mais não posso dizer, porque hoje em dia tudo é politicamente incorreto... Portugal é no global um país muito seguro. Lisboa, como todas as grandes cidades, atrai todo o tipo de pessoas, com todo o tipo de objetivos. E algumas delas não têm bons objetivos em mente... Mas continua a ser uma cidade segura, bastam algumas precauções e não andar muito distraído. 😉

Obrigado novamente por um passeio agradável pela minha cidade favorita com o pano de fundo de sua história. No final dos anos 90 e início dos anos 2000 viajei por toda a Europa, na minha primeira viagem a Lisboa entreguei um carro no Salão Automóvel do Parque das Nações e de todas as cidades que passei por Lisboa foi a única que pensei: "Quero volte lá e dê uma boa olhada!" Esse foi o início do meu caso de amor com Lisboa e Portugal, tantas lembranças felizes. Saudações como sempre do Reino Unido.

@@POVTours … Yes, Miguel, we were once better known as ‘the Athens of the south.’ You might be surprised to know very few Americans are aware of that moniker. Today, everything here is ‘Music City.’ We record much of the music listened to in this country, all types of stars and celebs live here, our downtown is a plethora of various live music venues, dive bars and honky tonks. There are always aspiring singer songwriters making their way into Nashville seeking their fame and fortune. Do we still have several excellent quality universities? Yes! Do we have the world’s only full scale replica of Athens ancient Parthenon building? Yes! We are also an important medical destination, the ‘buckle of the Bible Belt,’ but those realities pale in comparison to our current status as one of the preeminent centers of entertainment here in the USA. I think it would be great for you to film Nashville in 4k! It’s not an easy city to walk in but you could certainly bring our focus back to the rich history of this town prior to the advent of its country music incarnation. And, just as an aside, I have to say my cat is another who does not like anyone telling her “no.” 😂 All best to you and Portugal from the (secret)Athens of the South, better known today as Music City, Nashville, USA !

@@POVTours … Yes, summers here in Nashville can be brutal and super hot. There are days when we have to walk very early because waiting to walk in mid morning or afternoon equals coming home drenched in sweat. Those humid days, sometimes weeks, are definitely challenging! The city and area are well worth a visit but, as is found everywhere, there is a reality beyond surface level appearances that may or may not equal our expectations. As they often say, the grass is always greener on the other side! 😉

Caros colegas...quem disse sobre as árvores foi um cidadão português de Lisboa... quando passei em uma rua florida de cor rocha...ele disse que vieram as sementes ou mudas das mesma. Por isso fiz a pergunta para saber se era verídico tal fato.Abracos.

Olá Wanderlei! 😊 O povo português é na generalidade muito friorento 😁 As pessoas andam bem agasalhadas mesmo quando as temperaturas estão já nos 20 graus, e ainda mais quando estão 15º, com no dia que gravei o vídeo. Eu sou o oposto, tenho sempre muito calor. 20 graus já é temperatura de praia. Abraço e boa semana!

Boa tarde começou como está aqui uma linda tarde de sol .Curti muito as andanças por Lisboa mas fiquei impressionada com tanta intervenção capitalista naquele lado antes da Cinemateca muito concreto e vidro devem ter derrubados muitos patrimônios púbicos é a ganância imobiliária Mas em compensação me encantou o casarão da Cinemateca e ainda com o cartaz O CINEMA NO CAMPO DE BATALHA . Achei perfeito!!!. Adoro filme. Nunca tinha visto o lado B de Lisboa em geral só mostram o centro histórico tive uma grata surpresa. O final foi inusitado pois fiquei com a sensação que ali era onde tudo começava e ao mesmo tempo onde tudo terminava na linda cidade de Lisboa.

Nice to see O Quarteirão almost finished. As for Rua Augusta, there is too much crap running down the middle of it. Its grandiosity is diminished when you can't get an unobstructed view all the way down from Rossio to the Arch. The artisans who designed the calçada did not do it so that it would be hidden by an interminable line of dining tables catering to tourists.. There are enough side streets for all the tourist dining traps to be run out of. Great video, nice rendition of Somewhere Only We Know, by Keane, at the end.

Bonjour ! C est Lisbonne ! Une capitale aérée avec de grands espaces verts . Je crois que le Marquis de Pombales après le tremblement de terre avait décidé de faire de larges avenues des larges rues . C est lui qui a lancé les grands travaux pour faire de Lisbonne la capitale du futur . Les grands hôtels sont impressionnants ! Mais si je vais au Portugal je préfère les petites auberges les petits oiseaux le matin qui chantent le fado ! Tu connais le fado ! A Lisbonne il y a le fado ! Ah c est unique au monde ! Je crois j ai entendu un chanteur de fado déclaré son amour en fado à Lisbonne Les grands restaurants ? A Paris les grands restaurants c est toujours plein de monde et c est très cher ! Il a de la chance le patron : c est cher et c est plein ! Je crois qu il faut parler aussi du marché de Lisbonne et de la morue séchée. Pendant la dictature c était parfois la police qui surveillait la bonne marche ! Et les pâtisseries de Lisbonne . Il y a un café où on est au grand calme ! Et les fontaines aussi! Bon je regarderai la suite ! A bientôt BREVE !

Love your videos. we went to a small marble village near Evora and one of the marble quarries. The pedestrian part of roads in the village were paved by large piece of white marble sheets, very impressive. But I cannot remember the name of the village. I searched up marble villages or marble towns, but the images I got don't look like the village visited before. Can you make a video regarding marble villages please? Thanks.

@@HobbiesForLife2021 I contacted a couple of friends who live in Évora, but they don't know that village either. They also mentioned Borba and Vila Viçosa, which would be the most obvious places. I haven't given up on this, because now I'm very curious about that village, I want to go there. I'll keep you posted if I find out more information. 😊

Bonjour 😂! Oui Alfama vous nous avez montré une rue étroite avec pleins de brasseries de pubs ou la jeunesse de Lisbonne s amuse ! ! Il faut aussi avoir beaucoup de sous ! Alfama il y a un café ou une brasserie je crois avec comme devanture un tramway de Lisbonne ! C est envoûtant. Alfama le quartier qui dort pas ! Quand Benfica joue tout le monde regarde ... Et quand Benfica marque il y a du tintamare !

Eu gravei o vídeo de bermuda, mas não de chinelo 😀 Eu tenho sempre muito calor, mas o português comum usa roupas quentes até quase o início do verão. 😅 Os turistas estrangeiros é muito comum andarem de bermuda e chinelo, especialmente os de países frios do norte da Europa.

Olá Luciana, boa noite! 😊 As legendas originais do vídeo são de fato em inglês, mas o segundo conjunto de legendas é ativado ou automaticamente pelo KZfaq, ou manualmente pelo utilizador. Se o KZfaq coloca as segundas legendas em inglês é porque ou o seu computador/celular/TV ou a versão do KZfaq está em inglês, ou então a sua localização é num país de língua inglesa. A outra hipótese é o KZfaq cometer um erro, não seria a primeira vez. 😀 Mas não se preocupe, todos os meus vídeos têm legendas em português que podem ser ativadas. Para o fazer por favor toque ou clique no ícone da rodinha ⚙️ ou 3 pontinhos ⋮ no seu KZfaq, depois "Legendas" e escolha "Português" na lista de idiomas. Depois diga se funcionou, boa sorte!

Obrigado pela sugestão, vou tentar! Eu tenho algumas ideias para o futuro do canal, mas há sempre burocracia, problemas inesperados, enfim... Ainda hoje recebi uma resposta negativa a um pedido para visitar o interior de um edifício, que seria importante para um futuro vídeo e promoveria esse local para todos os inscritos do canal. Muito desiludido com a falta de compreensão de algumas entidades. Mas continuamos na luta 🙌

Bonjour Les liens entre le Royaume Uni et le Portugal sont très très anciens ! C est une des plus vieilles alliance au monde ! Elle était en cours mais discrètement entre 1940 et 1945! Les liens se sont renforcés entre les deux pays lorsqu il y avait le sinistre Napoléon. Une catastrophe épouvantable pour la France et pour l Europe ! En 1885 il y eut a conférence de Berlin Et en le 11 janvier 1890 l Angleterre envoya un ultimatum au Portugal parce que le Portugal voulait établir une ligne ferroviaire entre les deux cotes Africaines .L Angleterre était pas d accord . Hèlas le régime monarchiste se soumit à la tyrannie britannique. Quel dommage ! Une vive réaction servit la propagande Republicaine qui chantait la Portuguessa et accusait le régime monarchique d impuissance. Cet ultimatum eut des conséquences grave car cela a amené la fin de la monarchie de Bragance . La Portuguessa est née du mécontentement de la population car la monarchie s est soumise ! Le compositeur de la Portugessa s appelle Alfredo Kiel et le dramaturge Lopes de Mendoca !

Très émouvant le monument aux morts pour rendre hommage aux malheureux Portugais morts pendant l horrible guerre de 14 18. Pendant la seconde guerre mondiale Lisbonne était un grand centre d espionnage ! On venait de partout ! C était la capitale de l espionnage en guerre ! En France à Paris pendant la guerre l espionnage se déroulait dans les maisons closes les bordels ! Tout le monde se retrouvait la dedans pour chercher des renseignements : les Allemands les résistants les collaborateurs la police les soldats les policiers ! Les prostituées savaient tout et tout le monde venait pour avoir des renseignements ! On a interdit les Maisons Closes à la Libération ! C étaient des lieux dangereux ! Pour les Maures c est intéressant : en France tu as le massif des Maures près de Cannes ! Il s y cachaient car il y avait une grande forêt! Amizades
