Beyond everyone's imagination, Nyingchi in eastern Tibet boasts an epic natural landscape, serving as a habitat for thousands of species and being a genetic treasure trove at the top of the Earth. What's more, Nyingchi has enviable low altitudes-ranging only from 2500 to 2800 meters. When traveling from mainland China to Tibet by plane, you can directly land here, bypassing the discomfort of altitude sickness. Starting your Tibetan journey here can lead you to Lhasa, Tibet's capital, with just a day's drive of 400 kilometers or a 3-hour train ride to the west.
The stunning scenery along the route captivates me, a gift bestowed by nature on the Tibetan Plateau, infusing Tibet's barren natural environment with vitality and poetry. Nyingchi's forests teem with rich resources like honey, fields of flowers, various types of mushrooms, vast stretches of pine and cypress trees, with snow-capped mountains and glaciers seemingly within arm's reach.
Let's not forget the hundreds of thousands of original Tibetan residents living in the deep mountains and valleys of eastern Tibet, Despite being far from Lhasa, they hold strong beliefs, prostrating themselves by knocking their heads every step of the way towards their pilgrimage to Lhasa. In Nyingchi, I encountered them on their journey, deeply moved by their perseverance and dedication, I met one family prostrate from 1000kms far.
