I think it's why "Nothing Compares" is one of those songs that most aspiring artist's won't go near in these kind of voice competitions. Because if you can't do it better justice than the original, then you leave it alone. "I will always love you", "Bohemian Rhapsody," "Nothing Compares," etc. That being said I think it is just lovely that so many people showed their respect and their love, to an often misunderstood artist, by putting their own personal spin on it. I only wish she could have seen how much she still inspires and how many people still loved her. 😢

So much has come to light about shows like American Idol & The Voice being rigged, or more practice time being given to certain contestants etc., that after awhile it would be hard to feel their musical ability is being taken seriously. I mean, who wants to be a joke at something you are so passionate about. And then add in the in-fighting among celebrity judges, the promotion of a toxic environment just for ratings' sake ... I think it's why so many people are just done with reality TV. I used to love Hell's Kitchen and then I learned that 90% of those "mistakes" that Gordon Ramsey is screaming about are intentionally staged to create drama. But at what cost?
