You may think you know Spring Awakening, but you've never seen or heard it like this. Duncan Sheik and Steven Sater's Tony-winning musical returns to Broadway in the hands of the famed Deaf West Theatre in a brand-new production featuring a young cast of deaf and hearing actors performing the show simultaneously in English and American Sign Language. The results will not only blow your mind, but are sure to provide an even more emotionally overwhelming experience than you ever expected.

Its actually quite nice to see what everyone does bc when it is actually happening its really dark on stage so its quite cool to see everyone moving stuff around lmao

Oh, I hope they're going to be doing a tour of this after they're done on Broadway! I didn't find out about it until they left LA, so I hope they'll bring it back west eventually.

I saw this earlier this year when they did it in Los Angeles. So glad they're bringing it to Broadway. It's fantastic!

They changed a lyric in Purple Summer? I couldn't really understand what they were saying instead. Anyway, looks great!

+Laughfrodisiac I believe the new lyric is "the earth will wave with corn / the day so wide, so warm". And they changed quite a few of the lyrics, actually. They used to have a full video of them doing a rehearsal of Purple Summer, but it was taken down.
