If I remember correctly, this is not an Anglican Church. Yes, Anglican Churches allow women to become priests, but I am pretty sure the Church of Sweden is Lutheran. And I wonder, if gay marriage is allowed, then why can't women become priests? Many people used to say the Bible did not approve of homosexual marriage (and elements of it are still restricted to this day), but Catholics and Baptists allow gay and lesbian marriage now.

Sure the Church of Sweden has low attendance and most of the members stay in the church because it does very good things for the community and not for the religious part, but the women priest part does not make the Sweden Church unchristian. The Catholic Church has female monastic clergy - Abbesses are Bishops, Nuns are Priests, and Sisters are Deacons. They are not ordained so they cannot perform Sacraments but otherwise they perform all other functions of those offices. Protestant Catholics only chose to ordain non-monastic women after your example. I would have preferred they wear Abbess, Nun and Sister habits so Roman Catholics like you will quickly recognise them

Personally I respect every person ordained that preaches the true gospel, for us it’s not that important what gender a priest has, being a good Christian priest comes higher in priority. Most prefer a female priest over a male government puppet and vice versa. Christians support christians combating the governmental power’s attempt to replace christianity with a religious view of social democrat ideology. Yes, the party controlling the state uses “democracy” to assert power through mobilizing non christian voters to control that the church never oppose the government or the social “democratic” party in public statements. People in Sweden who are secular actually doesn’t know this is considered violating the basic human right known as freedom of religion.

@@friedsalmons8377 my brother , I say what St Paul said, Christ is the head of the church. The church is the body , Christ is the head, and we are the members. As a Catholic , let me tell you, the current Pope wants women priests , but sure as hell he can not introduce them , because Christ is the head of the church , and He doesn't want it. Women are mother's, the first teachers of the faith and are basically life giving spirits. Women can not be priests, as surely as I can not give birth to a child. If you want to challenge Christ , go ahead, but no matter even if the Pope or the ecumenical patriarch of the ancient see of Constantinople laid hands on a women and said the prayers of ordination nothing happens , no spiritual power is inferred. Because the Holy Spirit is a no show. If have a ghost in your house, do not call a woman priest, call a Catholic or orthodox priest, and the ghost will leave. In fact Mary Magdalene is the first gospel preacher if one thinks about it. Romans and Acts have plenty of references to women leading in the churches. That comparison is not valid, it is a male made up ideology.
