Glad to know I'm not the only one to notice King's weird behavior. If he was really, truly evil, why not just give him a motorcycle if he's just gonna kill him later? Why make his son take showers for reading swear words? Why do anything even close to being fatherly if Lancer really was a mere pawn? It didn't add up. I know it'll take some time, but I still Hope Ch 2 comes soon. Guess I'll Dream until then. :3

And lets not forget Lancer has to get his actions from somewhere (and no, not just from being a child); I'm talking about having his tongue stick out, looks in general, and one of the last lines you hear from the King when he falls asleep- "You sweet.... Little.... Pumpkins....". Such an odd, very odd, quote from a someone whom is supposed to be a "Tyrant" and "villain". No, I believe that Spade King is a mere puppet being manipulated on the sidelines much like seen here in this first comic dub. There are also a lot of other facts that he does that don't add up to him being an actual villain. (no, I'm not discrediting his current actions while under the influence of the Knight weren't villainous or heinous) but more of the notation that he is being controlled somehow. And I have a small feeling that Lancer is not "in denial" of his fathers actions, but rather that he knows that something isn't adding up either....

Maybe the king understands now that it is wrong to harm but his knight is not listening or something I don’t really know if If I am making sense I don’t really know sorry 😐 or he does not want To be king any more but at the end he says he does not want to fail his knight so Idk Can someone really help me I don’t know about this deltarune I know all about it like the full game but the thing I dont get Is who the heck is knight so an someone help out me thank you

I honestly agree that the King is not actually all that evil, but kind of corrupted. Maybe we will see his actual good side in chapter 2.

Now I feel bad for Lancer's Dad...he was being controlled by 'the knight', whoever they are. (I suspect it to be Gaster, not certain about that though; because I'm not the game's creator, but still.) Things are getting interesting. When is chapter 2 being released? I WANNA SEE MORE OF THIS! X3

The knight is not gaster, seam described a "strange knight" when talking about the 4 king's downfall,and a "strange someone" when talking about the one that drove jevil to insanity...i think you can tell which is which ;)

This is a rought situation. I also wonder what happened to the Queen of Spades? Did the Knight force the King to drive her out of the kingdom? If so she must have put up a fight so she wouldn't leave her baby boy behind, but lost that battle in the end and fled.
