My husband and I are ready to plant different types of nut trees around our land. I will think of you in the future when I harvest my first chestnuts! : ) I will buy the most mature trees to buy so it will not take too long. This is my favorite time of the year. I am so happy I get to see the season from your perspective. So wonderful that you can harvest chestnuts and have happy memories. I actually never knew any of my grandparents. I was the last to be born in my generation so my parents were older. I have photos and history stories of them though.

Your grandma will be very proud of you I'm sure she's smiling at you for what you have learnt from her and your mum 💞 Your such a good cook and involving your nephew with tending to the fire and helping you clean the veges and collect them as well 😊

Haha, little boy sat on a chestnut 😄 My grandma has been gone 20 years now. I would love to see the old house that I used to visit her at. I learned a lot about cooking and gardening from her at that house. Someone else owns the house and land now and I can only see it from afar.

Was this your videographer who made the fire under the pot today? If so, thank him for his moon shots. I will be happy to see Kimtao again, I am sure everyone will. I loved to see the place you were born. How far is it from your home now? Were these your maternal or paternal Grandparents? It is a lovely tree. I am proud of my sister tree-climber. I would visit, but old age has snuck up on me. It may have to wait for another lifetime, but I am patient.

I also love chestnut, and tried some recipes with it.

There're sweet chestnut trees in the park but alas they're either eaten by squirrels or not developed fully (thin sliver of chestnut. It has been so for the last couple of years in the city). Your belly pork with chestnut is nicely done.

Good morning Lianjie your video is the last one i watched before bed its now 3.21am. Wow the year has gone by so quickly and its this time of year already Chestnut harvesting. We have a few large chestnut trees at the end of our road, so in next month or so will go down and pick them. Good thinking of taking them out of their casing before weighing them and paying for them. How much was it for all of the chestnuts. If we buy them in the supermarket, they charge you £3.99kg loose ones, Very expensive. or can buy small bag for £4. Wild ones are free!!! You get more for you money without their spiky jackets.

莲姐，栗子是我一家大小都爱的食物。我家喜欢用朱侯酱来做焖栗子鸡肉，包肉粽时也会放一粒栗子。我这里不产栗子，都是进口的。去年买了新鲜的栗子，但是剥栗子的那层外衣可苦了我们。我们在栗子外壳划十字，放入滚水煮10分钟，但是栗子肉的那层薄外衣/膜完全和栗子肉紧贴在一块，很难剥去，后来放弃，干脆买干的栗子。为什么莲姐你的栗子的外衣那么容易剥，是因为栗子新鲜的关系吗？

Hi Nice to see the village where you were born. It's beautiful. I've watched many Chinese food videos, but I've never seen such big chestnuts till now. Yours are too big. In India we won't get chestnuts. It's very expensive. Only once I had in a Chinese restaurant. Would like to know whether Muslims are living nearby. Because when the outside light turned on, I felt like I heard the call for prayer which often get from Mosque. Are they living nearby where you live?
