Love it or hate it, that ending was unique.

I was disappointed in the finale. I get that Josh deserved what he got especially because he set foot in the funeral. We see Felix and Murphy ride off hopefully finally to Canada. I wanted to see what happened to Sarah, Darnell, Gene…what about Murphy finding her birth parents Did the writers just say fudge it

I didn’t like this ending, but here’s my take on it. Murphy was wound so tight all four seasons. Rarely was she able to relax, much less ever have peace. She never saw justice happen directly or cleanly for any of her noble missions - solve a murder, save her friends from a killer drug lord, find her missing friend, stop a killer drug. She accomplished it all saving her own ass time and time again. Yes, she caused a lot of her own problems. But did she ever get the credit she deserved for what she accomplished? Nope. I’m not saying killing Josh was noble. Hell, his hands and feet were bound, his service dog was gone, and he had no way to call for help when he was left alone with an armed, crazed, enemy. But her primal screams when she stabbed him and the deed was done felt like a release of all that rage, pain, and frustration. All taken out on the person who most misunderstood her, who never came around to understanding her motives, and who purposely without remorse took away her everything. Even Max’s shooter immediately regretted what he’d done. We saw it on his face after he shot into the elevator. But Josh laughed and mocked her pain knowing his part in it. After she kills Josh, she is relaxed, calm, content and clearly has no regrets. If I were to imagine the future, I think she would plead guilty in exchange for no charges against Felix and she’d have no problem going to jail for what she did.

The ending was predictable with Tray and Jimmy McKay being the ringleaders in the drug organization. Jimmy McKay - The only rich white dude mentioned in the whole series. Tray - The hidden face only means someone we’re very familiar with and part of their group. My first choice would have been Tyson if they were to bring him back from the dead but since it’s confirm he was dead, my other choice would be Tray. Simple minded and nonthreatening but also run independently and mysteriously aloof from the group. Plus his face was not shown but the hooded body was a dead giveaway. Also predictable was Max’s death. The series spent too much time building up his relationship with Murphy and the proposal. So much so that you just expect it to happen. It was just a matter of when. Murphy killing Josh wasn’t predictable but it was fitting. Her becoming what he had always known her to be. It’s also fitting for her character because once she set her mind to something, yeah she’s not going to change it and no one can stop her. Only thing you can do is embrance yourself as you get suck into her madness with her.

I feel like the writers wrote themselves into a really bad ending to the series

The ending was crazy. Max totally did not deserve what he got and I don’t like the fact that Murphy killed Josh. Yes I feel that something needed to happen to him but I personally don’t think Murphy should’ve killed him. Just doesn’t sit right with me, my opinion.

I Feel it should’ve ended like they should’ve went to the cops on how bad everything went down, and why it happened, like josh recorded his chief, disobeyed orders constantly, literally was trying to keep “bolt” on the street so much that he tried to warn trey and McKay, all so Murphy “ rots in prison” …. I would’ve loved for them to finally switch it back on him, get evidence and then arrest him, so that everything he ever did to get Murphy to rot in prison for life only ended up causing him to rot in prison for life… and while he’s getting taken from the court to prison he would look at Murphy and she would finally get her laugh back and in that moment that last moment he loses his vision (and like how Murphy said all she could see was Jess stumbling over to her at her birthday party after her vision left, for Josh he’ll have to deal with the fact that the last thing he’ll remember is her laughing bc she won (her laughing is her getting back for him laughing at her when she finally suffers)

You people complain to much in these comments, if you were a real fan of the series you’d know that this show was actually cancelled hence why season 4 was the finale. The ending was PERFECT might I add, Josh got exactly what he deserved.

We also have to realize that the disappointing ending was all based on some capitalist giving up on the show, which is so disappointing because to me the writing and acting was so good. Sure it was not believable in reality but then again the writers managed to come up with continual challenges and Murphy's never ending commitment to the particular friend at the time from Tyson, to Chloe, to Jess, to Max, to Felix. Now will this have a happy ending beyond the ending we saw? Of course not. Felix is wonderful and loves Murphy but it is unrequited and he is going to have to grapple with that. The only constant and like yinz said, the hero is Pretzel who also did a wonderful job acting. Either way I am looking forward to all of the actors next project because they ALL deserve next jobs.

I am shook. She will get arrested again and her friend will be an accessory! Such a waste! That is bad enough but the fact that I get it, feels worse.

Josh was an IRS agent investigating Nia Bailey. He was angered because he thought Murphy used him and was convinced Murphy had murdered Nia

Max on life support needing a heart. Josh in a haze of stress blindness walks into a sculpture art of knives. He’s a donor. Max gets his heart and lives. We’re suspending belief already as josh breaks law after law in pursuit of a blind Murphy shooting well trained Nia. Yet no one calls him on it or sees he’s unraveled. At no point do they give us josh coming to the realization that someone else shot Mia. All the forensics would put Murphy on the floor with Mia aimed at her but then gets shot from behind. Sad. Poorly crafted ending. Josh and trey could have shot each other. So many better endings than this. A knife is a visceral way to kill someone and she’s never killed anyone. She did it smiles and left. Nope. Oh and no mention Felix sisters place was tore to shreds. Also a future scene of Murphy and Felix on a beach 9 months later playing with a baby max jr and Felix finally getting Murphy in the end in a real love built on friendship and share experiences. A happy family. Something neither ever had.

The ending was disappointing & didn’t really make sense with the rest of the season. They foreshadowed Max’s Death & I really hoped that it wasn’t going to end like this for him. Murphy ended up being worse than what she was & now has another friend involved in a murder. I don’t even think they should return with another season. Plus the episode should have been longer. We didn’t get to see the rest of the characters’a end story.

just finished this show and i must say The ending was PERFECT!!! Ahhh i loved every bit of it...was hoping for season 5 but tough luck

4:52 he was never blind. He could drive a car he could see Murphy across the room he never uses his service cane. My wife is nearly blind without her glasses. She won’t be able to drive read or watch TV without her glasses. They screwed up on making him visually impaired.

Yeah that finale ended stupidly. I rooted for her in the case because she took the blame. Then she ACTUALLY ended someone and I began to dislike her completely. She made many dumb decisions but wow this was icing on the cake, he’ll it was the cake itself.

Unfortunately Murphy had sex & broke up with max over . She's the reason he's dead pare max fell for today's woman. Escaping all responsibility of a relationship. I'm so glad that theshow showed off so many men giving there all for love to get killed. It's very much like real life unfortunately
