You were very fortunate with the lines. Usually they're very long. South Point buffet is the best value buffet in Las Vegas. Having a loss leader buffet is what brings in locals who are the primary customers of this casino.

One of my fav buffets. Great value and variety Thr prime rib is amazing and desserts are yummy

That buffet is the best for the money. If you want to pay outrageous prices go to the strip.
