@Chapo no not all Irish hate Thatcher I'm sure the protostant like her. Also people have fairly sane reasons to like her for example her actions and victory in the Fauklands, reducing the large deficit and the complete economic turmoil in the UK what existed when she became PM and even shutting down the mines, what was probably the most infamous decision she made, had its advantages as it was bleeding out money the UK couldn't afford to keep losing and saw the end of wide scale coal mining what had horrible working conditions

It's actually a pretty fair film about the troubles, despite the main focus being an instance of the UK messing up. Too many films on the subject are far too unbalanced. I serve in the RAF as a Drill and Radio Instructor and even I have to admit, Ireland was a mistake! We should have just put our hands up and backed off but, of course, we couldn't because we were led by a shallow minded Government that still had this odd notion that we could just say "We are British and this is British because we say it is so" and everyone would be like "Whatever you say,Master. Take care!

The word you are looking for is "Signaller". Not "Radio Instructor". "Drill Instructor" isn't a job title in the British forces either. Its a course you can attend as a senior NCO but its not classed as a trade. Americanisms always give people away when they tell fibs.
@flashstudiosguy
@flashstudiosguy 3 жыл бұрын
@@zoiders I will partially agree with you but will argue with my Squadron's Hierarchy Structure where each person is designated a role. @@flashstudiosguy Regimental signaller is a course anyone can take. You don't have to be signals to be one even if you retain your particular regimental title such as "Sapper" or "Private". Perversely there are "Signallers" in the Royal Signals who never touch a radio.
