Some basics on cutting Threads on a Manual Lathe. It's not so much a How To Video ?? more so how you get started cutting Threads on most types of materials, including 316 Stainless Steel.

That's a bloody long thread Peter. Nice one mate. Aaron.

It was a bit of test for when you don't do this sort work that often ?? Ironically the Steel Thread of the same length was actually worse to cut ?? Thanks so much for watching 👍

@@weldmachine 38 c + here, or 110 f heat index......just had a cyclone/typhoon/hurricane over in Texas.......did not effect us, but tore them up......where in Australia are you, I have traveled to Queensland back in 1994 for 30 days, worked on a Cattle Station about 50 miles from Alpha, visited Longreach, Roma , Toowomba, and Blackwater mines......Australia in that area is very similar to Central Florida .......best wishes, Paul

If you're interested, I have a few videos on my channel with a Manual Lathe, especially to do with Threading. Also, there are a lot of videos about rebuilding a Mazak CNC Lathe. I'm not sure if this is something you might like to watch ?? I try to mix the videos up a little to keep it interesting. Thanks for watching and subscribing. Look forward to seeing you in the comments 👍

Like my mentor said " With stainless don't dilly dally around. Get in and get out. Reduce the speed and increase the feed."
@weldmachineАй бұрын
You're definitely right about that. Either keep it cutting, or not 👍
