Thank you so much Jeff, and Jonah! Heartwarming and so very interesting. The fact that they’ve got more material coming soon(-ish) was my Christmas present of the year, can’t wait! And I’m so happy about what Jonah said about potentially releasing a record of chorale music, as I’m in awe of what he can do in that genre (too…) I think he’s right about their audience, as I’m sure that we’re certainly not going away, but will wait faithfully for whatever material they wish to give us, whenever it’s released. Thanks again man!❤️

Thanks for these amazing and intimate conversations, Jeff. Jonah seems like one of the rare people in modern music whose MINDS are their "super power" rather than their chops. Ahh, what a treat all these three sessions have been - thank you! 🙂The positive energy flowing is what we all need right now! Loved your obvious question from the ladies.... LOL 😀 For me, checking new reactions/releases from DL daily it is good to hear that new stuff is on its way! Can´t wait for it! 🙂 Interesting also when you talked about the creative process in the end there, where Jonah says a good walk can make all the difference! I play, but also write some poetry at times, and to me it is more like the words are given to me - rather than I force them out. The notes fall from the skies, when the soul is stimulated, and land perfectly next to each other... Thanks Jeff for your amazing channel and for this interview! 🙂

Super, super interesting interview-! Again, I love the respect, the friendship and warmth between you two. It’s in itself inspiring… so many fascinating things, and probably most fascinating amongst them Jonah’s answer to wanting to sit down for dinner with Bach if he could…or Rachmaninov, or Prokofiev…and most of all, to talk more on personal things with them, rather than musical techniques…so interesting. I’m reading a book on Bach at the moment, and man, he was an enigma. And is it just me? But I often hear pure Chopin, Rachmaninov et al in Jonah’s playing…and his choir-style singing: out of this world…! Also, to having to learn a certain technique, and then ‘unlearn’ it…so much interesting stuff in there. Loved, loved this interview! Thanks Jeff and Jonah. And wow, all the work this would’ve taken… 🙏🙏 May your hangout together one day be The Best! xx

Awwwww 🥺🥰, thank you So much, Jeff!!!🙏🏼🤗 I think that most of us have experienced waves of highs and lowes trying to navigate - some have been extremely busy, while others have experienced a full stop in the middle of the journey they were on. My heart has gone out to the musicians many times❤️. But sharing with and supporting each other have also become so much more important and clear in its value❤️🥰💚🌱. Eventhough I’ve not been singing lately in neither choir nor vocal groups, and my bass is picking up too much dust in the corner, no home staying daughters anymore to sing or play piano, cello, drums or listening to K-pop etc. very loud😄😍😉, I still have a passion for and curiosity re. music, arrangements, sounds and soundscapes, compositions, song writing etc. - so your valueable sharings here combined with you wonderful personality are just gems to me🌈🎶❤️💚🌱🤗. official DL Reaction title prefix Suggestion : Pre-dubbed..... You know, it's been a challenge to me trying to understand where DL fits in the world of music and how to describe best their style and contribution to the world of music as we know it. I know a bit about how to play the guitar but too lazy to ever be really good. There. finally i admit it. But the people that couldn't imagine what that discipline would be to achieve the skill levels required to do what dirty loops does is most people. It's a small group of the population that understand. They are the music engineers / music geeks / the musicians and the creators that write and perform the music we know and love. But then one day 3 aliens called Dirty Loops arrive and because they appear to be like planets that somehow aligned with each other, all the musicians in the world turned and looked at each other and without speaking a word spoke to each other and said WTF! And blind musicians would walk up behind them and place a hand gently on their shoulder without speaking which roughly translates to WTF? And Many would contemplate destroying their instruments for at least a short while because they knew the bar had not only been raised but moved to a totally new place. Thank You DL for all you do.

Hi Jeff. Loved these interview videos. Since you spoke of being tearing up from a song, you should react to "Borrowed time" on the latest album "Now or Never" by Jonah. It is a killer.

Playing outside trick: lets say you're playing over Dm7. You can switch it up by playing the minor pentatonic scale a half step down. I'd have to think about why it works though, I just know it does. 😂

Hi Jeff, this was a fantastic, funny and insightful interaction to watch between two delightful music nerds! 😄 Awesome probing questions as well! My little brother discovered Dirty Loops by accident (Google Assistant pulled up the "wrong" song) no less than two months ago and I've been stuck on DL and Jonah ever since. 🤩 Looking forward to your future conversations together and reaction videos!

As for playing outside... I´m not a musician and have a limited technical understanding, but maybe the late Swedish piano God Jan Johansson may give you some insights about that. "Jazz på svenska" /Jazz in Swedish / from 1964 is for Swedish music insutry what "the overcoat" by Gogol was for Russian litterature. It´s absolutely riskfree to say that Jonah has been deeply inspired by it, because every Swedish musician has. Even ABBA kind of pays tribute to him in the intro of the Wembley concerts, listen to Benny Andersson keyboard, search for "Gammal fäbodpsalm" and "ABBA" on YT. Outside, but also a huge melancholy that is always there in the bottom and make Swedish music so hard to copy......... If you haven´t lived through the long dark lonely Scandinavian winters you haven´t...... Just a little tip. It would be interesting to hear what Jonah thinks about this. Benny Andersson speaks openly about the influence from Swedish folklore / which is what Jan Johansson worked into the jazz genre /, he says "Nordic people rejoice in minor!" I think that you can hear the influence very clearly in Work shit out.

I´d even say that the unique joy of playing together that they radiate feels like a reflection of that. Imagine having grown up in a mooseinfested / sorry moose, I´m joking / dark cold forest as at least Aron did, and not having any friends to play with. PLEASE ask them about this if you get another chance to interviewe them!

I think this Volvo commercial might give you a hint, the song is one of the secondary Swedish anthems, "A winter´s tale". Very dark, but very cosy as long as you have a Volvo to hide away in..... kzfaq.info/get/bejne/abGhqKuhtJi6h30.html Also this one: kzfaq.info/get/bejne/abGhqKuhtJi6h30.html This is the Swedish sentiment that is hard to copy. Nature´s power, you can´t resist it, you have to get in to it. Even Noah and Henrik that grew up in a big city carry it within, there is no escape. Have you seen the straits of Stockholm freezing ove, as they do every winterr? It´s amazing! Fun and absurd musical fact, especially after having seen these videos: Bob Marley wrote one of his biggest hits, I believe it was Redemption song, in the basement of a private villa in Stockholm! 😄 He has a Swedish son, and so has Quincy Jones! You must find warmth SOMEWHERE when you spend a year in Sweden! 😆

Just imagine that people are still reading Jackie Collins, watching Tv-shop and tv-evangelists, thinking that wackojaco was a genius: get a grip. (You can hear Rachmaninov in several songs by the way.)
