@@knaperstekt7953 No, you're wrong about that. Vai soloed to the song. It just so happen that the song was written two years ago. That's why Vai's got long hair and can use his right hand without problems (he's got an injury nowadays). He was superimposed because of obvious reasons (related to corona, travelling, not nessecary to travel in order to appear in the video).

Thank you Suzanne!!!!!.... Someone other than me noticed that the star of the show isn't always Jonah. I thought Henrik was the ad-infinitum bottom line when it comes to Dirty Loops - enter Tobias Grenholm. Besides the crazy sense of feel he has, the sound he gets from that freaking bass makes my head shake in disbelief. (I've played bass for half my life, and still don't get THAT crisp sound). That stupid little lick at 1:13 is just sick.

@eddiecousinsjr
@eddiecousinsjr 2 жыл бұрын
@@JazzyHamster_ar Yeah your right, having the percussive held back playing actually adds to the groove and you would miss if it was not there and if you had anymore guitar on this it would just detract and gum up the groove. Nice be of service to the song from the guitarist by adding just what is needed and no more and still looking cool while doing it.

I remember reading he still had a lot of things left to say musically (or something to that effect) then I heard, 'And we are one' then this now reaffirms that quote. I stay alone and am going through continual stages of growth with the instrument. I realised not to listen to too much of his playing as I started to ape him decades ago. I find him so inspirational that he can still change and stay fresh but still be him. Thanks for your comment...I don't feel so alone!

The way Steve Vai plays with so much emotion makes me honestly cry,not too many musicians can do that to me,usually (generally speaking) it's because of maybe a sad melody,song.But this happens to me when the phrasing,conviction,etc...are just so emotional, even in a happy song.Here is a perfect example.

Vai’s solo is excellent , has it all , melodic, heavy , trippy , does blow away the competition , have not heard any other virtuoso create such composition within a pop song to boot ! Most players are great at the gymnastics , but lack melody , quite impressed with Vai !

Unbelievable. I’m basically blown away by anything Dirty Loops, and Jonah, their harmonies cuts into my soul. BUT that Vai solo is out of this world, how can a guy his age and decades of playing create something so innovative, tasteful, smart and simply brilliant? A raw model and an inspiration, especially for us of age. In all aspects.

Binge watching Dirty Loops brought me here. Vai's solo caters so precisely to this track's groove; I'm still impressed by his abilities to adapt to any and every style out there he gigs for. It's probably a trait that Zappa was keen to. Jonah, your voice is absurdly delightful and moving and your arrangements are inspiring. I hear the Greats in your voice, from Little Richard to Stevie Wonder, to Michael Jackson, to Prince, and even Tevin Campbell.
