This was such a goofy movie, despite a few decent performances. Also, the film makers had no qualms about depicting a pregnant mentally six year old teenager, but couldn't show us Kara falling off the cliff, or a dead dog?!

"Sandcastle" was a great comic, but if memory serves it never actually revealed what was causing time to move so fast. The baby survived, but everyone who hadn't already died (most of the characters) died of old age after going to sleep, leaving the baby (who had become an adult) to cry and build a sandcastle knowing that she was doomed. I think it was meant to be more of a symbolic message about the nature of life being short than an actual coherent sci-fi story. It's interesting to see that they made a movie out of it that actually answered the questions left by the comic.

Just arresting scientists and resort owner doesn't really solve the problem. If u're not going to even bother explain shit don't bother making a story. Period. U're just wasting everyone's time.
