Sometimes you need to describe a situation and you might not know if you should use in, on, or between. Maybe you want to put your fingers in your ears, or you have something in your eye. Maybe a bee has flown up your nose, or you want to wear something on your wrist. In this English lesson I'll talk about all of those things!

⌛ Remember: Always watch the video three times. Twice today with English subtitles on, and once tomorrow with the English subtitles off. This will reinforce the English you have learned!

Oh wow. I genuinely thought there was something in your eye there. Superb acting! I was just finishing up on cleaning my room with my earbuds _in my ear_ listening to my favourite podcast. I hate dust flying around _on my face_ so I wore a mask the whole time cleaning, but sometimes dust could still go _up my nose_ which was annoying. I also have a towel handy _around my neck_ since I usually get sweaty while cleaning up. Ah just a good feeling and very satisfying when the room is all clean.

Hey, Mr. Bob! I’m glad you no longer have a frog in your throat. Hooray! Your voice is as crisp as ever. It was interesting when you said “Between my teeth” because I’m used to hearing “you got sth IN your teeth” a lot more. Could be a Canadian thing. Man, I really should start listening to more Canadians! 😅 One last thing that I need to get off my chest. Whoever invented phrasal verbs can take them and ….(you know the rest 🤭) 🐸🦆😉

Hey Bob, if you put your ring on every morning and then wear it all day, I wonder if you'll have a white band on your finger in the summer? (😘) Or do you do it similarly to how you handle it with your Fitbit so that this doesn't happen? Thank you for the great video, Bob. (Btw it seems like it's summery again where you are ☀️.) I hope you have a pleasant and stress-free Tuesday. 😎🌻🐝

I generally don't wear my wedding ring when doing farm work as it is dangerous. When working with equipment, it's considered unwise to wear anything that can bind or trap a finger or hand. I don't do anything super dangerous, but I remember this lesson from my dad. Better safe than sorry, and the bonus is, no ring tan! 😎🌻🐝
@Know-that
@Know-that Ай бұрын
@@LearnEnglishwithBobtheCanadian Oh, you're right, I hadn't thought of that, Bob. (Sorry 😘.) It makes sense not to wear it when you're working on your farm for these reasons. Things like that can happen quickly, even when you're doing seemingly safe work. As you said it's always better to be safe than sorry. (By the way, that's a great lesson from your father.) Ah ring tan, that's the perfect description. Haha. Thanks for the explanation, Bob. 💍👨‍🏫❤️
