fuck the size of your chest is extremely impressive, and iam curious to know what was your max bench press which ? i'am assuming it was some at stage of your super hero training

literally just got home from the gym and did 225 for 4 on the incline and was searching for other people doing incline so I could see other peoples form. I have never seen an arch on an incline. I think in a few days I will load 135lbs and experiment. I am in my mid 50s so I have to be careful not to injure myself.

Maybe it's just me but I think arching your back that much makes it more like a flat bench, esp. if you look at the angle. BTW amazing strength you've got there

That bench is angled too high. Arching like that gives you exactly the angle you want, which is just slightly above flat.

You can't possibly keep your arms tucked at 45 degrees with your elbows perpendicular to the floor with a vertical bar path on incline bench. That doesn't exist. With the angle of incline you have to keep your elbows a little more flared out than typical bench in order to keep your forearms perpendicular to the floor.

Wrong, The scapula retraction and back arch is a much safer position. It keeps your shoulders in the most comfortable and secure position. And it's common fucking sense that you must touch the bar higher on your chest for incline bench to keep your forearms perpendicular with the floor.

that's the first time I've seen anyone arch on an incline bench. I understand the reasoning and safety aspect for flat bench but do you have any issues with lower back doing it that way on the incline? Very strong btw.

Greg you're arching your back so much you're turning that incline press into a flat press. Just look at your pecs when you're benching, they're parallel to the floor just as they'd be on a flat. You're supposed to arch your back slightly, but you arch it way too much. Correct it, bro!
