Impressive video with an important message. Blatant discrimination certainly still exist, but sometimes exclusion is due to a person's personal fears of people who are different, people they are not used to being around. The DE&I movement can make a major difference to this latter group. The message in this video shows the importance for people to learn to let go of those fears (prejudices). When organizations create an environment that encourages understanding and appreciating a diverse set of perspectives (without judgement) we all become better, we all have new opportunities for personal growth. I've learned much from people who are different from me over the years, some of their gifts truly changed my life in a positive way.

Would it be possible to remove the embedded links to videos at the end of the clip (min 3:00), it is kind of stealing the punchline of the great video and covering the "I" in inclusion.

Why have you made a video about inclusion that has no voice over for blind people (like the man featured) who may want to watch this? Not exactly practising what you preach.

That hit me straight in the heart. I realize watching this that I discriminate against men and that hit me straight in the heart also. That realization brought me to tears. I realize I have a lot of self examination to do and make amendments to make.

How about a video on inclusion that doesn't exclude people with sight loss or reading difficulties? The video even includes a disabled representative who appears to be sight-impaired while silultaneously excluding him by using written slides in a handwriting font. How about we don't exclude those with sight-impairments or dyslexia, by providing accessible materials, including commentary (and subtitles for those with hearing-impairments). Especially when the materials are produced by those who ought to know better. Inclusion means EVERYONE.

That $100/$258 figure they quote is highly misleading...From their own research (Getting to Equal, 2017), the actual gap in wages is quoted as $100/$140, which itself is well above the gap in countries like Ireland (14.4%) where Accenture is based, and also Canada (13%) and the US (

"On average, Black women are currently paid only 63 cents for every dollar paid to a non-Hispanic white man. For full-time working Black women, this amounts to a median wage gap of $2,009 a month, $24,110 a year and $964,400 over a 40-year career, compared to white men, according to the National Women’s Law Center." Well one wuestion. Why are asians get more money than white people. 87,243 median income while the median income for whites is 65,902. Can you expplain this?
@traceyjames4681
@traceyjames4681 2 жыл бұрын
@@simonw.1223 I can guess. There are many poor white people in American who live and are sustained by low income living areas and welfare(check the numbers). Many Asians in America are part of the working class. You rarely see them living in areas, for example, rural West Virginia. They would not be welcomed by white Americans in those environments, so they create their own communities where their native cultures were allowed to thrive (i.e., Chinatown of several large urban cities). Like other foreign cultures, they thrive financially because they support their culture and businesses to help each other "make it" in America. There are many groups that do the same, but I am only referring to the Asian cultures-Chinese, Japanese, Vietnamese, Korean, and Indian, among the list.
