Someone no doubt will disagree that someone could beat Ronnie in that realm of best of the best but I think that is in all reality impossible. You would literally have to be more than human. All that raw talent and the only thing that Ronnie ever suffered from, was being human and that affecting his game. Yes sure, someone might come along with all that talent and lesser issues in life but will they do what Ronnie has done ? I seriously doubt it is fully measurable and comparable in the grand scale of things and someone could only get close to matching this stature of a snooker player. I like to think that the likes of Hendry, Davis, Williams, back to the likes of Taylor, Thorn,, even Jimmy, are all (examples of) some of the greatest of all time and all belong in the history books for their talent and part in snooker. Many are world class in my book. I refuse to call any of them (the insult) "goat" I'd rather not be a lazy trend dork and say he is (one of) the greatest of all time and give the title full usage. You are entirely right Faizan. I will add he along quite a good few others in history now and some still playing, are rightly world class faces of snooker.

True words one of the things I think is remarkable is the amount of years he's spent at the top, the likes of Stephen hendry and Co there eyes went luke they lost the focus not be able to pot the long balls and so on if anything Ronnie got better with age worked on his safety a lot more and got tighter as a player I dont think there ever be a more natural player definitely not in my lifetime, I've never saw him play live I'm going to try and get tickets for me and my dad when he plays at llandudno I no it'll be a special moment for me and my dad and that's what it's all about respect to Ronnie he's kept me watching snooker last ten years and only him I ain't interested in the others he's a right character brought a lot of joy may it continue

I disagree. Tiger Woods is the ULTIMATE GOAT. I fully appreciate the legend of snooker that is Ronnie, & what hes done for the sport... But Tiger, Tiger is the only sportsman than supercedes him!!! Great professionals & great embassadors. I'm happy I got to grow up watching them both dominate there respected environments.

So true man. That is why I have such high respect and regard for athletes and sportsmen who performed at the highest level at such advanced stages of their careers. E.g. Tom Brady, Roger Federer, Ronnie O'Sullivan to name a few.
