Here is my reaction to BBC's Normal People Episode 12
Marianne and Connell are back in Dublin and together as a couple. Life is calm and they are at ease with each other. Then Connell receives news that he has been offered a place to study in New York. Neither of them know how to process the news and so they decide to let it sit.

The way I will always be in Paul mescal and Daisy Edgar jones corner because of this ART, this breathing art. I get chills and tears just thinking about these characters some times.

I binged the show on a Sunday and stayed up super late to finish it. I actually had to call out sick from work the next day. I cried so hard in almost every episode, and I was so puffy and swollen, that I looked like I'd had an allergic reaction to something.

such a powerful and bittersweet ending, paul and daisy are magnificent. the show is pretty similar to the book but i honestly prefer the show, i think the actors elevate the material a lot

I agree. This is one of the rare instances in which the media adaptation is better than the book. That's definitely due to Paul and Daisy's chemistry and performance. They were so brilliant in this and perfectly cast.

the show is pretty much identical to the book! they did an amazing job to staying true to the story that sally rooney wrote

I'm glad you didn't hate the ending. I think a lot of the people who didn't like the ending, because they felt like everything wasn't wrapped up in a neat bow, or there wasn't closure on every single issue the show presented, had to have missed the point of the show entirely.

I love a happy ending 🎀 so I was a bit disappointed 😔 esp since it was so abrupt. I tried to read the book 😅 but just skipped to the end it was the same.
