Here is my reaction to BBC's Normal People Episode 10
Connell and Helen are out celebrating New Year’s Eve in Dublin. Late that night, Connell receives a group text questioning the whereabouts of Rob. The next morning news comes through that Rob has died. Connell struggles with the emotional fallout of Rob’s death.

the way Rooney wrote Connell and Mescal embodied him might be one of the best representation of masculinity and the way it shapes men i have seen (the expectations, the loneliness, the represt feelings). I love it so much, it's so real! love your reaction too!!!!

I watched this show when it first came out and that scene still stays with me. It the first thing that comes to mind when I think of this show or of Paul Mescal.

Love your reactions to Normal People! Paul Mescal is a phenomenal actor but I wish you would also comment on the performance of Daisy Edgar Jones as well. Daisy’s Irish accent is flawless, and the persona she gave to Marianne is 10/10.

I watched Mescal in God’s Creatures right after this and it was a total opposite to Connell. That said, he was very good in that too but I kept thinking surely he didn’t do what he was accused of???? But, I had to remember it wasn’t Connell so watch that if you get a chance.
