Explore the fascinating fields of biology, genetics, and intelligent design with 16 in-depth interviews featuring Del Tackett and six scientists from the film.
From stingrays and algae to ecosystems, genetics and internal structures, marine biologist Robert Carter explains how the oceans are incredibly complex parts of God's creation.
☞ Purchase all three in the series here: bit.ly/2MWY7Tx
Dr. Carter obtained a BS in Applied Biology from the Georgia Institute of Technology in 1992.
He then spent four years teaching high school biology, chemistry, physics, and electronics before going to the University of Miami to obtain his PhD in Marine Biology. He successfully completed this program in 2003 with a dissertation on “Cnidarian Fluorescent Proteins.” While in Miami, he studied the genetics of pigmentation in corals and other invertebrates, designed and built an aquaculture facility for Caribbean corals, performed well over 500 SCUBA dives, many of them at night, and licensed a spin-off product of his research (a patented fluorescent protein) to a biotech company. He is currently a senior scientist and speaker for CMI-USA in Atlanta, Georgia.

I recently started wandering what happened to Del Tacket after I met him in Seattle roughly 15 years ago for the Truth Project. Glad I found his channel. Been watching many of his videos. I was heavily in to apologetics back then after college when I thought all I had to do was knock down each persons walls of logical arguments. I came to find after I knocked down a wall only to find the next wall. Sometimes on the rare occasion I could knock down enough walls but boy what a lot of work that takes. I learned we are simply in rebellion against God and we sometimes will no matter what arguments you bring forth people sometimes aren’t interested in hearing these arguments. In fact most of the time there reason for not believing almost never is rooted in logical argumentation. It’s almost always emotional. So I went back to the source. The Bible. Not saying the Bible is based on emotion. Just that Jesus knows how to reach the hurting with amazing results when he spoke. I believe Ravi Zacharias was so influential because he learned to talk in stories like Jesus did which aften knocks down people’s defenses and then they are will to hear Jesus voice. Much as Del does. I in my younger years learned to argue without the Bible because people didn’t know the Bible at all. What I learned is the Bible has a lot more sway then scientists and logical arguments.

Is Genesis History? You are probably wasting your time giving a secular atheist creation science links, their faith is all based on indirect evolutionary assumptions backed by their own scientists that do not allow opposing views. The bias in favor of both evolution as well as millions of years for assumed divergence times between creatures like apes and humans is so strong that changing the minds of those who hold such positions may be pretty much impossible, yet we try anyway. Indoctrination is hard to break, it was for me as well. The sad part is, at least this area, there is a large disconnect between peer reviewed journal articles and how it is summarized in popular media. I use peer review all the time to show them evidence and it’s still never good enough. They pretend they want something that they do not
@YoungEarthCreation
@YoungEarthCreation 4 жыл бұрын
Hans De Mos I could care less which religion is right, I was an atheist not long ago myself. I studied them all to actually figure out which was correct. Anyway, I just uploaded a video where when an evolution believer discovered information that made the secular community question the age of dinosaurs she admitted she was afraid for her future and job and every day she woke up she was excited but terrified. Now if the secular community as you put it, like conflicting data, why her admission that it’s the opposite and the secular science community admitted that her results do not matter and that evidence doesn’t matter. It is proof they are biased and it’s proof evolution is protected by law. When her fellow coworker lost his job over saying dinosaurs were young she never admitted it and kept her job. See how they have to lie for evolution just to maintain a pot in the secular world?

Even those who were judged in Noah's Day (because evil was in their hearts day & night, refusing to repent) will be a witness against those who since that day (The World Wide Flood) call GOD a liar & refuse to believe "The Love of The Truth", which is Jesus Christ, Him crucified, & being raised from the dead. Yet even in this "late hour" THE FATHER in heaven would have mercy on them if they would repent (think again) & believe HIS only Begotten Son. How does one get saved & be given eternal life ? By believing on "The One" who The FATHER has sent, Jesus Christ, The Son of The Living GOD. Dr. Carter correctly relays that all life is relational, is part of an ecosystem, needs other life to exist. CM is currently devouring the West, the vast majority of the developed world. If that part of the world is lost, what hope the rest of the world? It is one of the most important issues of our time, and none of it would've been possible without your messiah, Charles Darwin. But if you thought it not worth discussing, I wonder why you took the trouble to respond repeatedly to such a worthless comment. If anything is weird, your behavior, responding to a worthless comment, certainly fits that description. I have already given you my answer with respect to engaging with you on this thread given our engagement in the first thread. Please consult this thread to refresh your memory as to what that answer was.

Water is a mistery to me! Before everything was created there was already water. Without getting into details, the Bible mentions water many times in such a way that makes it a mistery to me. In the beginning the "Spirit of God hovered over the surface of the waters" "God created the earth upon the waters" God has his throne under "Pillars of waters" The world came out by the waters and through the waters" and many other significance passages about the water. Water is Life..well said. Without water we wouldnt survive, but I believe in my heart it is an element closest the our God way more than we might think.

@Justus the righteous Observing new genes doesn't have to be the threshold to prove evolution, especially for the common person. But It's rather common, some of us have genes & mutations that obviously not all of us have. Like when including neanderthal & Denisovan dna. Surely kinds won't share all the same genes too otherwise how do they make & save changes?

@11:20 Dr. Carter, the bible never says God created the "oceans" - pay attention - this is important: "And God said: 'Let the waters under the heaven be gathered together unto one place, and let the dry land appear. ' And it was so. 10 And God called the dry land Earth, and the gathering together of the waters called He Seas; and God saw that it was good." God created the seas - our oceans did not appear until 1500 years later - this is documented in historic records.
