The Kaiju are numbered in order of appearance. Kaiju no 1 is no better or worse than Kaiju no 2, just different. Kaiju number one was the first Kaiju they assigned a number, that's all. Can't give you more detail than that, it would be a spoiler.

Since it’s been said I believe 3 times in the anime, it’s also safe to once again say that kaiju no’s 1-7 are all dead. Kafka’s No. 8 was the first that was failed to be eliminated

One thing that Isao didn’t mention in the anime but did mention in the manga during the reunion is that even if they did convert Kafta into a weapon, someone needs to be compatible with said weapon, or else it gets stored until further notice.

Don't think so either. The issue that influences people opinion is the chapter release frequency, which is quite slow... Binge reading, the story doesn't suffer from it.

The whole test makes no sense to me: first, Shinomiya clearly wanted to recreate a situation where Kafka would lose control, but wouldn't you want to avoid that? Everyone has a breaking point, of course if you'd try to kill me I would go berserk. Second, Kafka's kaiju clearly reacted to kaiju-Shinomiya, not human-Shinomiya, it's not fair to say he attacked a human. This thing where special forces are basically kaiju and nobody acknowledge this fact is still bugging me. But I didn't read the manga, maybe all of this will be addressed later on
