This remarkable new Grand Canyon research confirms the Bible and debunks what atheists have been telling you. In this presentation, Dr. Andrew Snelling shares new research that points to the layers in the Grand Canyon being formed during the biblical flood.
To learn more about this topic, you can check out Dr. Andrew’s book The Genesis Flood Revisited here: AnswersInGenesis.org/store/pr...

As I mentioned in my first comment, I am a hobby prospector. Every prospector knows that any mineral/rock that has been in flowing water for more than 3-5 years is absolutely rounded. In fact, that is how we identify river stones. The fact that this quartz is jagged means it was not weathered for very long at all. Love this, thank you.

@kaisguda Sure, that's possible if you agree with the premise laid out in the video. It becomes irrelevant if billions of years are true. Since each layer is supposedly laid down over many, many years by wind, water, and errosion, then compressed and solidified. We shouldn't see any jagged or sharp edges. Yet, if the premise is true and it was laid down and covered up rapidly, we would expect what is shown in the video.

@@MoonlightMagnolia no, there are multiple layers that the grand canyons consist of. Each showing their own geological time. The formation of the grand canyons show that 5 or 6 million years ago, the colorado river cut through the plateau which had been uplifted, leading to millions of years worth of rock erosion, weathering and freeze-thaw events, all of which leading up to the canyon structure we see today. The fact that there are multiple different geological layers proves that there wasn't a flood, since that would have been 1 and 1 only event. Not to mention that even if there was such a flood, there would've been thousands of canyons all around the world, and that floods alone aren't able to cause them to form.

Really like how Dr Andrew begins by saying that we first believe the Bible, and then we go out and explore how evidence in the world are consistent with what we read in the Bible, not the other way round. And that's what faith is! "blessed are they that have not seen, and yet have believed." (John 20:29) "Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen." (Hebrews 11:1) Sharing a message I read: How did life come about? Can something come out of nothingness? Did a single cell evolve to form extremely complex organisms, plants, animals and even us, human beings? If so, where did all this new information to form something more complex come from? How did chance produce such order, intelligence, intricacy and awesome design? Even more intriguing, where did the first cells come from and what gave life to them? Is life something tangible that can be explained by the finiteness of science? Who was there at the beginning who could possibly shed some light on the origin of life? God, who has no beginning and ending, existed before time did. He tells us in the Bible the story of how life came about. He created it by His wisdom and for His glory. “In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.” (Genesis 1:1) In fact, God says that people have no excuse to deny His existence, clearly manifested in His Creation! “The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God. They are corrupt, they have done abominable works, there is none that doeth good.” (Psalm 14:1) “For the invisible things of Him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even His eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse.” (Romans 1:20) “All things were made by Him; and without Him was not any thing made that was made.” (John 1:3) Would you believe the infallible and immutable God who has revealed to you in His Word that He created the world? Or would you believe the hypotheses of fallible men who weren’t even there at the beginning of time? Don’t take your chances - trust in the living God who never lies. The eternity of your soul is at stake. “For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son (Jesus), that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” (John 3:16)

Having recently taken that class it's interesting to compare the many theories proposed in that class against the 20+ hours of AiG content I've seen so far. Just out of curiosity, how does the young earth model account for hotspots, especially as they are presented as proof for slow-moving tectonic plates (thinking about the Hawaiian Islands chain formation and evidence for the movement of the Yellowstone hotspot)?

His computer models have even place the continents where they are today as a result of these movement. Regarding the Hawaiian islands, read up on how fast those islands are eroding away each year. Some of them are said to be 5.1 to 65 million years old but at current erosion rates...they would not have existed a million years ago...despite volcanic growth.

I remember being taught in Geography lessons that the Grand Canyon was carved out by the Colorado river, but I always thought there was something more to it that would have created such a massive canyon, and that something would be like the Global Flood depicted in the Bible. Thanks Dr Andrew for your eye-opening research, may God bless your labour and save souls for His glory!
@sentinel_nightcrawler
@sentinel_nightcrawler Ай бұрын
Yes, you are correct about the first part. There was more that created the canyon formation over millions of years. 1 flood that lasted 100 or so days isn't able to leave even a centimetre of a mark on large rock layers. Instead if you listened closely enough in your geography classes, millions of years after the plateau has been carved out by the river, there were also periods were the water had frozen and thawed up, along with other weathering effects that the rock had taken affects from, leading to the canyon formations.
@sentinel_nightcrawler
@sentinel_nightcrawler Ай бұрын
There'd also be uniformity and deposition throughout the canyons, if there was a global flood, but we don't see any evidence of that. Instead, the canyons exhibit complex patterns of erosion, where different layers of the canyons were shown to have eroded at different rates and through different ways, all of which indicates that there wasn't 1 flood that did this, but that there were different periods of erosion and deposition.
@sentinel_nightcrawler

Also, don't you find it a bit strange that there are only a few canyon distributions around the world? Do theists expect that in a global event which should lead to multiple canyon formations, in their logic?
@blue-dc4hl
@blue-dc4hl Ай бұрын
@@sentinel_nightcrawler We'll probably leave that to the geologists to explain why. I'm not a geologist but it could depend on the location's geology before the flood, there are some countries that mainly have granite rock formations and little sedimentary rock for example. The biblical flood wasn't just a flood that covered the earth, it was a catastrophic flood that formed mountains and valleys, changing the earth's topography - you have to study the Bible for the details. Dr Andrew's video also just gave a long explanation why the sedimentary layers at the Grand Canyon couldn't have taken millions of years to form if you have listened to the whole thing, the evidence doesn't explain our assumptions of millions of years.
@sentinel_nightcrawler
@sentinel_nightcrawler Ай бұрын
@@blue-dc4hl oh, so you're trusting researchers who say that earth is billions of years old instead of creationist quacks, when you mention geologists? Sounds like a cop-out to your argument. I'm talking about other sedimentary rock formations that snelling hadn't taken into account. If there was a global flood which covered all of the sedimentary rock layers, why aren't there any canyons formed thereafter? Also the fact that snelling hadn't considered exactly what the composition of a rock layer would be had there been a flood, shows his lack of genuine research of rocks in general. I wonder if Snelling or Andrew have ever mentioned that if there ever was a global flood, then not only the grand canyons, but also all sedimentary layers would have uniform layers of erosion and distribution. But since the grand canyons exhibit complicated structures of erosion, we can look at what layer has eroded at which rate.

17:11 it’s pretty clear how the bends was made. Apparently we haven’t found the original layer from the beginning of Genesis. The bends was formed from the flood. The half of layers below the bends was formed from the start of the flood. I'm not a geologist, but here's a recent thought I had. In order for the evolutionist story to be true with the Grand Canyon, the whole area would have had to ha e been covered in water, dried up, covered in water, dried up, over and over again to form all those layers with fossils. Isn't that right? Where do they think the sediment for all those layers came from? It's one thing to say the river carved the canyon, but explaining the layers is a whole different ball game. Maybe I'll research their point of view on this.

@jockyoung4491 Ай бұрын
Yes, that's exactly what happened. The main layers of the Canyon are Paleozoic, laid down over 300 million years. But there are gaps where sea level fell or the local land area rose above it, and there was erosion rather than deposition. These are represented by the breaks between different color layers. This may be a bit oversimplified, but that's the basic idea.

It would be a great follow-up to take some of those samples and subject them to the estimated heat and pressure of evolutionary geologists and then show the deformations and healing that would have occurred, just to put the cherry on the top of the findings and observations. As an aside, concrete does not dry out - it cures, and the cementitious binder is not the remnants after drying, it is the cement bonded with the water to create the "koosh-ball-like" structure that holds the granules, sediment, and aggregate to one another.

Also for the benefit of those who have not listened to the whole video (although you really should), here's a very brief summary (AIG to correct if it's wrong, thanks): Fossil records at the Grand Canyon show burrowing traces of trilobites and worms. How were the "footprints" of these organisms which would have been rapidly eroded preserved? Rapid burial and not millions of years would have done this. Did it take millions of years of deposition for the rock layers in the Grand Canyon to form? What caused the bends in the rock layers - were they folded by pressure/heat 450 million years after the sediment layers were cemented? What does recent research tell us? If it indeed took millions of years, we would expect settling of larger grains with separation from the smaller grains. Yet, rock samples collected from the Grand Canyon show the random mixing of different sized grains without evidence of settling, indicating that there was no time for sorting of the grains due to rapid deposition of the rock layers. Muscovite is soft mineral that is easily destroyed. Yet is it found preserved in quartz of the rock samples, indicating that they were deposited rapidly with the sediment grains before they could be destroyed. K-feldspar, which is softer than quartz, was also found preserved, indicating that deposition was so rapid that K-feldspar was not eroded away by the harder quartz grains. If the bends in the sedimentary rock layers happened after external pressure and heat were applied to the dried layers, we should expect to see evidence of metamorphosis in the rock bends with disturbance of the quartz cement holding the sand grains together. We would also expect rock in the bends to be compacted with less porosity due to the exerted pressure. However, the rock samples show otherwise - the quartz cement holding the grains together always appeared intact with no evidence of being disturbed/shattered. This shows that the rock layers were likely bent while they were still wet and pliable, and not after they had been dried out for millions of years with pressure/heat later being applied to bend them. The quartz cement was the last to form after the rock layers were bent when water dried out from the rock after the Flood. Porosity of rock samples in the bends were also similar to that of samples collected away from the bends, again proving the same point. The K-feldspar grains and muscovite flakes which would be affected by heat also show no signs of metamorphism in the bends. The observational evidence is overwhelmingly consistent with rapid catastrophic deposition of these sediment layers, expected at the beginning of the Global Flood recorded in the Bible. It does not support the above assumption of millions of years. Trust God and His Word. “In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.” (Genesis 1:1)

The water pressure at that depth is staggering. That's about 425 feet of water level per day, or almost 18 feet of depth per hour. If you watch the videos of the Japanese tsunami he referred to, you'll see how destructive even a few feet of water in motion is. If you've ever gone to the bottom of the deep end of a pool, you can feel the pressure just that amount of water produces. (Change times and laws, history and scripture) We're seeing many end time prophecies being fulfilled SUPERNATURALLY! This is some of the "lying signs and wonders" God told us He would give the AC power to perform which would even deceive His very elect, if it were possible in 2nd Thessalonians chapter two!* *God said in the end of days, (NOW!) that He would send us a famine for hearing His words in Amos **8:11** and that He would give the antichrist the ability to do this in Daniel 7:25. In Daniel 12:4 & 12:9 He told him to seal his book until the end days. He told John **_not_** to seal his book because the end time is at hand in Revelation 22:10. One of the Greek definitions of ''seal'' in Strongs concordance is “to protect from Satan”. He also told us to “hide His words in our hearts”, which meant memorize, if not word for word at least the essence of what was written, because He knew this was going to happen.* *God commanded us to "prove all things", and people **_better_** obey Him, especially on this subject. I urge you to research this. There are many brothers and sisters making videos about the changes with more proof of what was originally written and I have lots more about this in my playlist 👉 which can be found by typing in (PROOF OF BIBLE CHANGE RESIDUE JUNKIE 1)* 👈 *I've continued to stay in God's word by reading what has been documented to be what used to be written and what Satan has been changing. Soon Amos **8:12** will be fulfilled too and we won't be able to find God's word anymore, and the only way it can happen is by not being able to see these videos and PDF written lists of documented changes like the one at (amos)(8)(.)(org)* *May God bless all who read this with eyes to see this incredible faith strengthener, and how close we are to our Saviour's return!!!!* *P.S. Everyone is going to learn about this one way or the other. I'm just trying to keep so many people from hearing Jesus explain it to them at the Gate. If you ask for them at the address on my about page I will send you links for 17 films that absolutely prove the snake bite is the mark. And yt hates me, they won't notify me of replies and won't post my answers so write me at residue junkie in one word at g mail for lots more info yt would never allow you to see.* ❤✝️💪 *P.P.S. YT will not notify me if you reply here so write me at residue junkie in one word at g mail.*

Are there any AIG videos that don't seek to deceive my confusing Atheism (lack of belief in gods as there is no evidence to such their existence) and Geology (the study of rocks)?Atheists don't tend to talk to anyone about geology, unlike geologists, and I suspect few geologists discuss the existence or otherwise of any gods. There is absolutely zip evidence for anything that looks like the flood of the Bible, and well does this channel know it.

The Bible clearly states that God (the Word Jesus Christ) created everything in six literal 24 hr days (Yom is the Hebrew word used). Exodus 10:1 For in six days the LORD made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested the seventh day: wherefore the LORD blessed the sabbath day, and hallowed it. God did not rest for millions or billions of years on day seven as an example for man to follow. God created Adam along with all land creatures on day six of the creation week. The Bible goes on to provide the genealogy of Adam to Jesus the Christ...giving the ages of those in between which we add up to determine the age of the Earth which is some 6000 years old. Sometime after day six of creation ...Adam sinned and the Bible states theat nature groaned. The Bible further states that the wages of sin is death. Adam's sin created the conditions for death. If you believe that the Earth is millions of years old them you put death before Adam came on the seen. Since Jesus came to redeem mankind from Adam's original sin, Jesus would not have had to come since death and disease existed before Adam came on the seen. Therefore the universe and the Earth being millions of years old is just not scriptural. Either you believe in the infallibility of God's preserved word or you believe in man's word. As for me and my house...we will serve the Lord.
